Leah Mendoza has been voted the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA)/FloCollege Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the first week of the 2025 season. This is the first time in Mendoza's career that she has received the honors, and the third in a row for Stanislaus State, including awards received at the end of the 2024 season.

Under the direction of head coach John Powell, Stanislaus State is ranked No. 14 nationally in the first United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll of the season, released this morning. The Warriors also earned a No. 3 ranking in the West Region.

Stan State's volleyball team continues their road trip with a second tournament, this time at the Biola/Vanguard Kickoff taking place in Costa Mesa and La Mirada, California. On September 11, the Warriors face Biola University (2-2), followed by Azusa Pacific University (3-0) and Vanguard University (2-1) on September 12, and Texas Permian Basin (1-3) on September 13.

Off to a perfect 2-0 start in 2025, Stanislaus State Men's Soccer heads north this week for a two-match trip to the Pacific Northwest. The Warriors open at Simon Fraser on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 5 p.m. in Burnaby, British Columbia, before facing Saint Martin's on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 1 p.m. in Lacey, Wash.

Stan State Men's and Women's Basketball will host their Tip-Off Dinner on Tuesday, November 5 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dust Bowl Brewing Company in Turlock, Calif.

The Stanislaus State women's soccer team will wrap up its season-beginning four-match homestand this week with a pair of non-conference contests under the lights at Warrior Stadium. The Warriors will host No. 24 Hawai'i Hilo on Wednesday, Sept. 10, and Menlo College on Saturday, Sept. 13, with both matches scheduled for 7:00 p.m. kickoffs.

This Week in Warrior Sports September 8–14, 2025   Cross Country to Host Kim Duyst Twilight This Saturday The Stanislaus State men's and women's cross country teams will officially kick off the 2025 season this Saturday, September 13, when they host the annual Kim Duyst Twilight at River Oaks Golf Course in Ceres, Calif.The meet will feature 13 races, beginning at 5:15 p.m. with the 2K Freshman/Sophomore Girls' race, and concluding at 10:00 p.m. with the 2K Girls' Invitational. The men's collegiate 8K will start at 8:30 p.m., followed by the women's collegiate 6K at 9:00 p.m.  Live results will be provided by Red Cap Timing (www.redcaptiming.com).

Despite dominating the shot count, Stanislaus State fell just short in a hard-fought 2-1 contest against Simon Fraser on Saturday afternoon at Warrior Stadium. The Warriors outshot the Red Leafs 18-8 and controlled large stretches of play, but a late second-half goal proved to be the difference in a tightly contested match.
