Warriors’ Ero Doce First in the Nation
TURLOCK, Calif.--- Heading into this weekend, Stan State men's track and field student-athlete Ero Doce is currently first in the nation in NCAA Division II with his school record and provisional time of 14:08.98 in the 5,000-meter run. He also amongst the nation's leaders in the 1500-meter with his provisional time of 3:47.94.
Doce ran his NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time of 14:08.98 at the Kim Duyst Invitational on March 1 in Turlock, Calif. Earlier this outdoor track and field season, Doce ran a provisional qualifying time of 3:47.94 that he ran on February 17 at the Sunbird Invitational in Fresno, Calif. The Warrior transfer's time is the 64th fastest time in the nation.
Stan State men and women's outdoor track and field teams will return to competition this Friday-Saturday, March 22-23 at the West Coast Relays at the Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. The West Coast Relays will be hosted by Fresno State University.
This year's NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held May 23-25 at the Francis G. Welch Stadium on the campus of Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas.
The Warriors will host the 2024 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Outdoor Track and Field Championships, May 2-4, at the Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium on the campus of Stanislaus State University in Turlock, Calif.
Heading into this weekend's West Coast Relays, Stan State has recorded several top eight marks and times in the CCAA including Ero Doce in the 800, 1500, and 5,000-meter runs and Jason Lindsay in the hammer.
