Stan State’s Cole Bailey Named CCAA Male Field Athlete of the Week
TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State's Cole Bailey was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Male Field Athlete of the Week as announced by conference office. In his first competition as a Warrior, Bailey finished in the top 15 in three events including placing fourth in the javelin at the Sunbird Invitational this past Saturday, February 17.
The junior transfer started his day breaking his personal record with a throw of 47.16m (154-08) in the javelin to finish in fourth place. With his 12th place throw in the hammer, Bailey had another personal best throw this time a mark of 42.21m (138-06). He finished the day with a sixth-place throw of 39.88 (130-10) in the discus which also was a personal best throw for Bailey.
The Warriors will return to competition, March 1-2, when they host the Kim Duyst Invitational at the Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium.
