Warriors Finish Indoor Season at Nationals
PITTSBURG, Kansas---- Stan State duo of Najwa Chouati and Kaela Dishion finished their indoor season at the 2024 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships competing in the 5,000-meter run this evening in Pittsburg, Kansas. Chouati finished 17th and Dishion 20th.
"it is a great accomplishment to make it to nationals and these women will use this experience to build on for an outdoor national opportunity…very proud of them and Coach Holman and Coach Heiner for representing the Warriors at indoor nationals," said head coach Troy Johnson.
Chouati finished in 17th place with a time of 16:53.95 while Dishion ran a 17:16.92 to finish in 20th place. West Texas A&M University's Florence Uwajeneza won the 5,000-meter run with a time of 16:05.12
