For the third straight year, Stan State's Chris Chomyn earned CCAA Championships All-Tournament honors by placing in the top five at the CCAA Men's Golf Championships presented by Under Armour this week at the par-72 Sandpiper Golf Club in Santa Barbara, Calif.  Chomyn shot a three-round score of one-over par 217 to finish in a tie for fourth place with Sonoma State's Ivan Sablan.  As a team, the Warriors shot a 38-over par 902 (303-302-297) to finish in sixth place.

Stan State moved into a tie for fifth place with Sonoma State after the second round of the 2025 CCAA Men's Golf Championships in Santa Barbara, Calif.  The Warriors shot a 302 (+14) to go with their 303 (+15) to give them a 29-over par 605.  Chris Chomyn led the Warriors for the second consecutive round with his two-round score of one-over par 145. The senior golfer is in a tie for second place with Cal State East Bay's Cooper Groshart.  They are just two strokes out of first place, which is held by Cal State Monterey Bay's Wilhelm Berg Von Linde (143, -1) heading into the final round of the CCAA Men's Golf Championships at the par-72 The Sandpiper Golf Club.

In the most recent NCAA Division II baseball statistics report that was released this Monday by the NCAA's Department of Statistics, Stan State is fourth in the nation with its .980 fielding percentage, 12th with its 36 sacrifice hits, and 21st with its 0.85 double plays per game average.  In the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), the Warriors lead the conference in fielding percentage and tied for first in triples and sacrifice hits.

Stan State travels to Arcata, Calif. to play the final games of its regular season. The Warriors will be hosted by Cal Poly Humboldt for a four-game series consisting of two doubleheaders, beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26th and playing at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 27th.

Stan State Men's and Women's Basketball will host their Tip-Off Dinner on Tuesday, November 5 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dust Bowl Brewing Company in Turlock, Calif.

After the First Round of the 2025 CCAA Men's Golf Championships presented by Under Armour, Stan State is in sixth place with its 15-over par 303 at the par-72 Sandpiper Golf Club in Santa Barbara, Calif.  Chris Chomyn led the way for the Warriors with his even-par 72, which places him in a five-way tie for fourth place.  Cal State Monterey Bay shot a one-over par 289 to lead the eight-team championship tournament.  The Otters' Wilhelm Berg Von Linde and Chico State's Naoki Easterday each shot a two-under par 70 to lead the individuals heading into the second-round tomorrow morning at 9:30 a.m.

Stan State will host Cal State Monterey Bay in its final home stand of the 2025 regular season this Friday-Sunday, April 25-27, at Warrior Field.  Blue Chip Sponsorship Night is set for the series opener this Friday, April 25 at 6:00 p.m.  The teams will play a 1:00 p.m. scheduled doubleheader this Saturday, April 26.  Prior to the series finale on Sunday, April 27, the Warriors will recognize their 19 seniors in a ceremony on the field at 11:20 a.m. First pitch for the series finale is set for noon.

This Week in Warrior Sports April 21-27SENIOR WEEKEND THIS WEEKEND AT WARRIOR FIELD Stan State's baseball team will host Cal State Monterey Bay in their final home stand of the 2025 regular season this weekend, April 25-27.  The series will begin under the lights this Friday, April 25 with a 6:00 p.m. scheduled first pitch on Blue Chip Broadcasting Sponsor Night. The two teams will continue the series with a 1:00 p.m. scheduled doubleheader Saturday, April 26.  The series finale and the Warriors' final home game of the regular season is set for Sunday, April 27 at noon.  Prior to the game, Stan State will recognize its nineteen seniors at approximately 11:20 a.m. on the diamond.
