Warriors Continue Fall Season at Bayonet & Blackhorse Golf Course
TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State will continue its fall season this Monday-Tuesday, October 14-15 competing in the Otter Invitational at the par-72 Bayonet & Blackhorse Golf Course in Seaside, Calif. This will be the second of four invitationals that the Warriors will participate in during this month of October.
LAST INVITE: Stan State finished in fourth place out of six teams at the Bill Cullum Invitational at the par-72 The Saticoy Club in Somis, Calif. The Warriors were one of two NCAA Division II teams to participate in the Bill Cullum. They shot a three-round score of 913 while team medalist honors went to Weber State with its 883.
WARRIORS: Chris Chomyn finished the three-round tournament with an even-par 72 today to finish with a three-over par 219 (75-72-72). Finishing in fourteenth place was Jack Peters with his eleven-over par 227. Peters shot a 76 in the final round to go with his 72 and 79 that he shot in the first two rounds on Monday. Playing in his first tournament as a Warrior, Ricky Sullivan finished in a tie for 19th place with his sixteen-over par 232 (75-79-78). Finishing in a four-way tie for twenty-fourth place was Nate Jetton with his nineteen-over par 235 (83-74-78). Rey Rosas shot a seven-over par 79 today to finish with a 246 (83-83-79) to finish tied for 43rd place. Two Warriors played as individuals the past two days in transfer Chase Bird and senior Armaan Sahota. Bird finished in a tie for 28th place with his 236 (79-81-76). Sahota finished tied for 40th place with his 244 (83-80-81).
THIS YEAR'S WARRIORS: Stan State returns six golfers from last year's team in Chris Chomyn, Nate Jetton, Bradley Olson, Jack Peters, Drew Pritchard, Rey Rosas, and Armaan Sahota. Joining those six are newcomers in junior transfer Ricky Sullivan, sophomore transfer Ricky Sullivan, and freshman Ethan Gonsalves.
HEADING TO SEASIDE: Stan State will be one of eighteen teams participating in the Otter Invitational this Monday-Tuesday, October 14-15 at the par-72 Bayonet & Blackhorse Golf Course in Seaside, Calif. There will be eight
teams from the CCAA golf this Monday in Cal State Monterey Bay, Stan State, Cal State San Marcos, Chico State, Cal State San Bernardino, Cal State East Bay, Sonoma State, and Cal State Dominguez Hills. Four teams from the PacWest Conference will be at the Otter Invitational in Academy of Art, Westmont, Dominican, and Jessup. Five teams from the South Central Region will be in Seaside in Ft. Lewis, Western New Mexico, Colorado School of Mines, West Texas A&M, and Colorado State Pueblo. The final team is Spring Hill College from Mobile, Alabama.
Stan State's five golfers of Nate Jetton, Ricky Sullivan, Armaan Sahota, Chase Bird, and Jack Peters will be paired with golfers from Cal State Dominguez Hills, and Westmont. The shotgun start will be at 8:00 a.m. and the Warriors will start at holes eight through ten.
AFTER OTTER: After The Otter Invitational, the Warriors will conclude their fall season in Hawai'i, October 21-26 compositing in two invitationals. They will be at the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate
SPRING SEASON: The complete Spring 2025 schedule will be announced in December. Stan State will host the 50th Annual Hanny Stanislaus Invitational, April 14-15, at Turlock Golf & Country Club in Turlock, Calif. The 2024-25 CCAA Men's Golf Championships at the Sandpiper Golf Club in Santa Barbara, Calif. This year's NCAA Division II West/South Central Regional will be hosted by The Victoria Club in Riverside, Calif., May 8-10. The PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., will host the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships, May 19-25.

- Bascom Cards Top-20 Finish at WWU InvitationalStanislaus State men's golf closed out the Western Washington University Invitational on Tuesday at Bellingham Golf & Country Club, finishing 13th in the 14-team field. Owen Bascom led the Warriors with his two-over 218 to finish in a four-way tie for 17th place.
