Women’s Soccer Moves Closer to Fourth Consecutive CCAA Tournament Berth with 5–0 Win at Dominguez Hills
CARSON, Calif.---Stanislaus State women's soccer delivered its most dominant performance of the season Friday night, rolling past Cal State Dominguez Hills 5–0 in CCAA play at Toro Stadium. Five different Warriors scored as Stan State extended its unbeaten streak to three matches, improved to 8–4–4 overall and 4–3–2 in CCAA play, and climbed to fourth in the conference standings with 14 points.
First Half
The Warriors exploded for three goals before halftime to take full control. Aliah Avila opened the scoring in the seventh minute, converting from the penalty spot for her second goal of the season and ninth career game-winner, tying her for fourth all-time at Stan State. Olivia Maragos doubled the lead in the 27th minute with her team-leading sixth goal of the year, and Grace Fabionar capped the first-half surge with a strike in the 45th minute, assisted by Avila, to make it 3–0 at the break.
Second Half
Stanislaus State kept its foot on the gas in the second half. Maragos added her second of the match in the 65th minute, while Brynn Phillips scored her first collegiate goal just three minutes later to seal the 5–0 win. Goalkeepers Zara Mujica and Malia Allen combined for the team's sixth shutout of the season, as the Warriors outshot the Toros 17–9 and dominated possession from start to finish.

The six-team CCAA Soccer Championship Tournament begins with first-round matches on Sunday, Nov. 9, at the site of the higher seeds. The semifinals and finals will be played at Cardinale Stadium in Seaside, on the campus of Cal State Monterey Bay, Friday through Sunday, Nov. 14–16. The top two seeds receive first-round byes, and the tournament champion earns the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Championships. Stanislaus State women's soccer now sits in fourth place in the CCAA standings (8-4-4, 4-3-2 CCAA) as it chases its fourth consecutive postseason appearance.
