Robert Valdivia Named Recipient of Stan State’s AKA Award
TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State Warrior baseball player Robert Valdivia was the recipient of the Stanislaus State American Kinesiology Association (AKA) Award. Valdivia recorded the highest-grade point average (GPA) in the single subject matter in physical education.
"My experience here at Stan State for the past three years has been awesome to say the least," said Valdivia. "I've had the privilege to be taught by some incredible professors who have had a great impact on me through their guidance and support. I want to thank my peers, professors, and everyone in the kinesiology department, you have made this experience unforgettable."
Valdivia was nominated by the professors in the Department of Kinesiology. The recipient of this awards needs to be going into teaching and or coaching in his career. The Warrior baseball player is going into the teaching credential program and will be on the Stan State Baseball Coaching Staff this coming academic year, 2025-26.
The senior shortstop hit .306 for his three-year career at Stan State. Of his 174 hits, 24 were doubles, five were triples, and seven were home runs. Valdivia drove in 78 runs and scored 86 runs. He was named three times to the All-CCAA Team including the Second Team in 2024. During the 2023 season, the Adelanto, Calif., native was named to the CCAA Championships All-Tournament Team.
Valdivia received numerous academic honors including being inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society, CCAA All-Academic Team, CCAA Spring Academic Honor Roll, D2ADA Academic Achievement, and the CSC Academic All-District Team.

Stan State outshot SPU 13-5 and controlled 57% of the possession, showing early season form in their home opener.
- Warriors Dominate Saints in Regular Season Home OpenerStanislaus State opened the 2025-26 women's soccer season in strong fashion with a 1-0 shutout victory over Saint Martin's in the home opener at Warrior Stadium on Thursday night.Grace Fabionar netted the match-winner in the 55th minute — her first career collegiate goal — off a double assist from Kellyann Rodriguez and Aliah Avila. The Warriors dominated the match with 62% of possession, a 21-4 shot advantage, and limited the Saints to just three shots on goal. Zara Mujica, making her Stan State debut, recorded three saves to earn her first clean sheet as a Warrior.
