Four Members of the Women's Tennis Team Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

TURLOCK, Calif.--- As announced this afternoon, four members of the Stan State women's tennis team were named to 2024-2025 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Tennis Teams as selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).  These four Warrior student-athletes are Abbigail Mulick, Annabelle Mulick, Alyssa Tay, and Emma Yu.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Abbigail Mulick performed well in both doubles and singles throughout the fall and spring season. Mulick and spring partner Parker Orlando held the team's best doubles record throughout the spring season, aiding the Warriors in an eighth-place finish at the PacWest Championships in April. She also was one of the best performers in singles for the Warriors, typically playing on the fifth court. Abbigail Mulick earned PacWest All-Academic Team honors, and Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete honors, and was a member of the ITA Academic Team last year.

Annabelle Mulick was a strong performer this season in singles, typically on the third court. Mulick recorded one of the best singles records on the team this spring season and held the second-best doubles record with partner Emma Yu. She was ranked in the top 60 in singles by the ITA for two weeks and made the top 50 in doubles with Emma Yu for a week. Mulick has earned several academic honors throughout her four years at Stan State, including being named to the ITA All-Academic team, PacWest All-Academic Team, and earning D2ADA Academic Achievement honors last year.

Alyssa Tay played on the one court for the Warriors in the singles, generally taking on the toughest opponents to support her team. She recorded one of the best doubles records during the spring season while playing with multiple partners, though Tay was most often paired with Maiah White. This is the third season in a row that Tay has been named to the CSC Academic All-District team. She was also part of the ITA All-Academic Team and PacWest All-Academic Team while earning D2ADA Academic Achievement honors last year.

Emma Yu faced strong opponents on the second court this season and notably had one of the best doubles records on the team in the spring season with partner Annabelle Mulick. The pair ranked in the top 50 by the ITA for one week, which includes their record from both the spring and fall seasons. This will be the second season in a row Yu has made the CSC Academic All-District team. Last year, she was also made the ITA All-Academic team and PacWest All-Academic team while also being named an ITA Scholar-Athlete.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as women's CSC Academic All-America® finalists will be announced on June 3, 2025.
