Stan State’s Annie Wild Named 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field National Scholar Track Athlete of the Year

NEW ORLEANS — Stanislaus State's Annie Wild has been named the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Indoor Track & Field National Scholar Track Athlete of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Wild earned the honor after capturing the national title in the mile at the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships in Indianapolis. Her championship-winning time of 4:40.62 made her the first National Champion in indoor track and field in Stanislaus State history.  Just two weeks before the national meet, Wild broke the school record in the mile with a time of 4:39.92 at the 2025 Last Chance Indoor National Qualifier at Boston University.

The Ripon, California, native continued her standout year outdoors, placing fifth in the 1,500 meters at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships to earn her second All-American honor. She was also named to the 2024–25 Academic All-American® Women's Track & Field Second Team by the Collegiate Sports Communicators.

During the indoor season, Wild earned All-West Region honors in the mile and as a member of the Distance Medley Relay. She was also named to the NCAA Division II All-Academic Team by the USTFCCCA earlier this week.

The Communications major added All-CCAA and All-West Region accolades in cross country and had a strong showing at the 2025 CCAA Track & Field Championships, winning the 1,500 meters and finishing second in the 800 meters. Her academic accolades include selections to the CSC Academic All-District® Team, the CCAA Fall and Winter/Spring Academic Honor Rolls, and the Stanislaus State Department of Athletics Honor Roll.
