Four Stanislaus State Track & Field Student-Athletes Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

TURLOCK, Calif. – Four student-athletes from the Stanislaus State men's and women's track and field programs have been named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team for the 2024–25 academic year. Honorees include Crystal Hernandez, Trent Lauderdale, Mila Real, and Annie Wild.

Announced today by the USTFCCCA, this prestigious honor recognizes NCAA Division II student-athletes who have excelled both academically and athletically. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher and either rank among the top 50 nationally in their event or compete at the NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championships.

Crystal Hernandez earned All-West Region honors during the indoor season as part of the Warriors' Distance Medley Relay Team. The Los Banos, Calif., native was named to the CSC Academic All-District® Team.  She also claimed All-CCAA honors in cross country and was a member of the inaugural class of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. Hernandez was named to both the CCAA Fall and Winter/Spring Academic Honor Rolls, as well as the Department of Athletics' Honor Roll for both semesters.

Trent Lauderdale became the 46th All-American in Stan State men's track and field history with a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles at the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships. Lauderdale recently was named to the 2024-25 Academic All-American® Men's Track & Field Third Team as sponsored by the Collegiate Sports Communicators.  He also earned All-West Region honors and captured the CCAA title in the same event, while contributing to All-CCAA relay teams in the 4x100 and 4x400 relays. Lauderdale was named to the 2024–25 CSC Academic All-District® Team and earned spots on both the CCAA Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll and the Department of Athletics' Honor Roll.

Mila Real placed eighth in the 400-meter hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, earning All-American honors. She also received All-West Region recognition in both the 400 hurdles and Distance Medley Relay during the indoor season. At the CCAA Championships, she collected All-CCAA accolades in the 400 hurdles, 100 hurdles, and as a member of the 4x400 relay. Real was selected to the CSC Academic All-District® Team, inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society, and named to both the Department of Athletics and CCAA Winter/Spring Academic Honor Rolls.

Annie Wild made Stan State history by winning the national title in the mile at the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Championships — the university's first-ever indoor national champion. She followed up with a fifth-place finish in the 1,500 meters at the NCAA Outdoor Championships to earn her second All-American honor. She recently was named to the 2024-25 Academic All-American® Women's Track & Field Second Team as sponsored by the Collegiate Sports Communicators. Wild also earned All-West Region honors during the indoor season in the mile and as a member of the Distance Medley Relay. She added All-CCAA and All-West Region honors during the cross country season. At the 2025 CCAA Track & Field Championships, she won the 1,500 meters and finished second in the 800 meters. Wild was also named to the CSC Academic All-District® Team, the CCAA Fall and Winter/Spring Academic Honor Rolls, and the Department of Athletics' Honor Roll.

This recognition reflects the Warriors' continued commitment to academic achievement and competitive excellence on the national stage.
