Warriors Have Recorded Over 25 Top Times/Marks in the CCAA
TURLOCK, Calif.--- Heading into their trip to Southern California, Stan State men's and women's track and field student-athletes have recorded twenty-eight top eight times or marks in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). Ero Doce and Najwa Chouati each have recorded NCAA DII provisional qualifying times in three events. Doce is 11th in the 5,000-meter run and 13th in the 1500-meter run. Chouati is 10th in the 5,000-meter run. The duo along with Jason Lindsay have the top times/marks in the CCAA in four events. Lindsay in the hammer, Doce in the 5000-meter run, and Chouati in the 1500 and 5000-meter run events.
Of the top 29 times/marks, 19 are in the top five in the CCAA.
Stan State will be sending student-athletes to four different meets this weekend in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The Warriors will be at the Cal State L.A. Twilight on the campus of Cal State Los Angeles this Thursday-Friday, April 10-11. They will be at the Bryan Clay Invitational this Thursday-Saturday, April 11-13 on the campus of Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, Calif. Stan State will have student-athletes competing at the Beach Invitational, April 12-13 in Long Beach, Calif., on the campus of Long Beach State University. The Warriors will be in LaVerne, Calif., on April 12 at the Leopard Distance Carnival on the campus of LaVerne University.
After this weekend in Southern California, the Warriors will return to competition, April 26-27 at the Fresno State Invitational in Fresno, Calif. This will be their last meet until the CCAA Championships, May 2-4. The Warriors will be hosting this year's conference championship at the Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium.
