Stan State closes out its four-game home stand this week with a pair of California Collegiate Athletic Association contests inside Warrior Arena, hosting Cal State Monterey Bay on Friday, Jan. 2, at 5:30 p.m. before welcoming Cal State San Marcos on Sunday, Jan. 4, at 1 p.m.

Joe Ryan, who will be inducted into the Stan State Athletics Hall of Fame on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the Stan State Event Center in Turlock, has accepted an invitation to represent the United States in the 2026 World Baseball Classic.

Stan State men's basketball battled back in the second half Sunday afternoon but came up just short in a 93–88 loss to Cal Poly Pomona inside Fitzpatrick Arena. Five Warriors scored in double figures, led by Malachi Johnson's 23 points, while Javon Johnson added 15 off the bench. Lloyd French posted his first career double-double with 11 points and 12 assists, Jason Zimmer finished with 11 points, and Donjae Lindsey added 10 as Stan State shot 54.0 percent from the field and 42.3 percent from three.

Stan State closed the weekend with a 75–37 loss to No. 15 Cal Poly Pomona on Sunday afternoon inside Fitzpatrick Arena. The Broncos used a decisive third quarter to create separation and maintain control the rest of the way in the CCAA match-up.
