Stan State’s Emmanuel Duran Named FloCollege/CCAA Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
TURLOCK, Calif. — Stanislaus State junior Emmanuel Duran has been named the FloCollege/CCAA Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). Duran played a pivotal role in the Warriors' perfect 2-0 start to the 2025 regular season, scoring two of the team's six goals.
He becomes the first Warrior to receive this honor since Tyler Tipton, who earned the recognition for the week of September 18–24, 2023.
Duran began the week by registering a shot on goal in Stan State's 2-1 win over Seattle Pacific during the regular-season home opener on Thursday. He followed that performance with a brace in Saturday's 4-1 win over Western Washington. His two goals, scored just one minute apart late in the match, helped seal the victory. The first came off an assist from Samuel Villanueva, and the second from Gerardo Flores.
The No. 14 Warriors continue their season with two road matches in the Pacific Northwest. They will head north across the border to face Simon Fraser in Burnaby, British Columbia, this Thursday, September 11, at 5:00 p.m. On Saturday, September 13, they will take on Saint Martin's in Lacey, Washington, at 1:00 p.m.
Stan State, who are third in this week's United Soccer Coaches/NCAA Division II West Region rankings, returns home to Warrior Stadium on Thursday, September 18, for a 7:00 p.m. match-up against Menlo College.
