Warriors Make History with First 4-0 CCAA Start Behind Dominant Net Play
TURLOCK, Calif. – Stanislaus State volleyball continued its hot start to conference play with a decisive 3-0 sweep over Cal Poly Humboldt on Saturday night at Fitzpatrick Arena, securing the program's first-ever 4-0 start in CCAA action. The Warriors' front line powered the victory as Irene London tied her career high with seven total blocks and Isabella Saucedo delivered a team-best 12 kills, fueling a balanced attack and stifling defense that lifted Stan State to its sixth win of the season.
Set One:
The Warriors established control early, using a strong defensive presence at the net to frustrate the Lumberjacks. Blocks from London and Malia Tanksley highlighted a 25-18 win, with Saucedo providing key kills to keep Stan State in front throughout.
Set Two:
Stanislaus State (6-5, 4-0 CCAA) carried its momentum into the second frame, racing out to an early lead behind the serving of Victoria Plumb, who tallied multiple aces. London and Fallon Freeman combined for big swings at the net, and the Warriors' six service aces in the set proved decisive in a 25-19 victory over Humboldt (0-12, 0-4 CCAA).
Set Three:
Humboldt (0-12, 0-4 CCAA) fought to extend the match, but the Warriors' depth shined through. Balanced contributions from Saucedo, London, and Emily Meyer fueled the offense, while the Stan State block remained steady. Closing strong, the Warriors secured the sweep with a 25-18 win, punctuating a historic night for the program.

The Warriors will then be at Cal State East Bay (Saturday, Oct. 5 at 5:00 p.m.) and at San Francisco State (Thursday, Oct. 9 at 5:00 p.m.). The Warriors will return home on Saturday, Oct. 11 for a 2:00 p.m. match with Cal State Los Angeles in their annual Dig Pink Match.
