TURLOCK, Calif.---  Stan State returns to the pitch this week for a pair of CCAA matches this Thursday, October 17 and Sunday, October 20.  The Warriors will host Cal Poly Humboldt on Student Affairs Night at Warriors Stadium this Thursday at 7:00 p.m.  Stan State will travel to Rohnert Park, Calif., this Sunday for a 11:30 a.m. starting match with Sonoma State. 

THREE POINTS:  The Warriors went 1-1 on the road in the CCAA this weekend to pick up three points.  They started the weekend off with a 2-1 loss at Cal State Monterey Bay.  Jocelyn Figueroa scored her second goal of the season with 13 minutes left in the match for the Warriors.  Natalia Ochoa recorded eight saves in goal for Stan State.  The Warriors picked up three points in their 3-0 shutout victory at San Francisco State on Sunday.  Tylin Norman had eight saves in goal en route to her first shutout as a Warrior.  Aliah Avila, Kaley Miller and Katie Smith each scored goals for the victors.

STAN STATE IN REVIEW: Stan State enters its match on Thursday with a 4-5-2 overall record and a 1-3 CCAA record.  Aliah Avila leads the way with her three goals, nine points and three game-winning goals.  She is tied with Kaley Miller for the team lead in assists each with three.  Jocelin Roa is second on the team with her three goals and seven points to go with her one assist.  Miller is third with her three assists, one goal, and five points.  Shauna Johnston has scored the Warriors' other game-winning goal.  Natalia Ochoa has seen time in goal for the Warriors in eight matches.  She has a 1.49 goals against average with a .743 saves percentage, 26 saves and two shutouts.  Malia Allen has a 1.69 goals against average with ten saves, and .667 saves percentage. Seeing action in two matches in Tylin Norman who has 1.50 goals against average in two matches with 13 saves, .813 saves percentage, and a shutout. 

CCAA/NCAA RANKED:  Three Warriors are in the top ten in the CCAA in eight statistical categories in Aliah Avila, Natalia Ochoa, and Kaley Miller.  Avila is tied for second in assists (three), tied for second in game-winning goals (three), tenth in points (nine), and tied for tenth in goals (three).  Miller is tied for third with her three assists.  Ochoa is sixth in saves (36), tied for seventh in shutouts (two), fifth in saves percentage (.743), and ninth in goals against average (1.49).  In the recent NCAA DII statistics, Avila is tied for 13^th with her three game-winning goals.

LUMBERJACKS IN REVIEW:  Cal Poly Humboldt enters Thursday's match with the Warriors with a 5-5-1 record and a 2-2-1 CCAA record.  The 'Jacks went 2-0 this weekend on the road with back-to-back 1-0 victories over Cal State Dominguez Hills and No. 25 Cal State Los Angeles.  Frida Duran Arellano leads Humboldt with her four goals, ten points, and three game-winning goals.  She is tied for the team lead in assists with Camryn Patten and Emilie Wallen each with three.  Mari Ige is second on the team in goals scored with two followed by Heidie Munoz's two.  Carson Thomson-Terrel has posted a 1.13 goals against average with 33 saves, three shutouts, and a .786 saves percentage in eight matches.  Adea Nunes has seen action in three matches, posting a 1.33 goals against average with six saves, two shutouts, and a .600 saves percentage.

ALL-TIME SERIES: Stan State leads the all-time series with Cal Poly Humboldt 19-7-2 since 2002.  The Warriors are 2-1-2 against the Lumberjacks in the last five minutes.  Humboldt defeated the Warriors 2-1 in double overtime in the First Round of the CCAA Tournament last season in Turlock.  Aliah Avila scored Stan State's goal in the 78^th minute.  The Warriors defeated Humboldt 2-0 in Turlock in 2021. 

SEAWOLVES IN REVIEW:  Entering its match with at Chico State this Thursday evening, Sonoma State is 4-4-3 overall and 2-2 in the CCAA.  The Seawolves lost both of their matches on the road last week losing 2-0 at No. 25 Cal State Los Angeles and 2-1 at Cal State Dominguez Hills.  Three Seawolves each have scored a team high two goals in Marivic Lek-Miro, Mia Solorio-Smith, and Julia Betti.  Lek-Miro leads the team with her six points as she also has two assists.  Luna Chavez has recorded a team leading three assists.  Ariana Beddoes has recorded four shutouts with a 1.36 goals against average, a .717 saves percentage, and 38 saves.

ALL-TIME SERIES:  Sonoma State leads the all-time series with the Warriors 22-9-5.  The Seawolves have three of the last five meetings between the two teams.  Last season, the Warriors defeated Sonoma State 3-1 in Turlock.  Arionna Imhoff scored the Warriors' first goal off a cross from Alexia Brewah. Aliah Avila assisted on Brewah's goal late in the match.

UP NEXT:  After Sunday's match in Rohnert Park, Stan State will return home for a pair of matches October 25 and 27.  The Warriors will host Cal State San Bernardino on Alumni Night at Warrior Stadium.  The match with the Coyotes is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 25.  Two days later, Stan State will host No. 2 Cal Poly Pomona on Senior Day on Sunday, October 27 at 11:30 a.m.  Prior to the match, the Warriors will recognize their seniors in Haylee Heffner, Shauna Johnston, Kaley Miller, Kaia Mills, Amber Pon, and Ycela Ochoa, prior to the match versus the Broncos.
