Thirty-Two Warrior Fall Student-Athletes Named to the 2023-24 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll
TURLOCK, Calif.-- As announced the office of the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) this morning, thirty-two Stan State Fall Student-Athletes were named to the 2023-24 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll.
To be named to the CCAA Fall All-Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be of sophomore athletic standing or higher, own a 3.33 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or better while competing in a CCAA sponsored sport in that sport. The CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll consists of eligible student-athletes who compete in the sports of men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, and women's volleyball.
A record number of 551 men and women from across the CCAA's 12-member of institutions have been honored for their efforts in the classroom for the fall and spring. The thirty-six Stan State Warrior Student-Athletes are as follow:
Back in December, Tyler Tipton was named to the 2023-24 Academic All-American Men's Soccer Second Team as selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). Tipton along with teammates Finn Hoffmann and Sammy Villanueva were named to the Academic All-District Men's Soccer Team.
Three members of the Warrior women's soccer team were named to the Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team in Haylee Heffner, Abby Martinez, and Makeila Yancey.
Haley Burdo, Alex Byrd, and Ellison Weaver were named to the Academic All-District Volleyball Team.
The Academic All-District Team for cross country will be announced this Spring.
