TURLOCK, Calif.---The No. 2 Stanislaus State men's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to a school-record 12 matches with a 1–0 victory over Cal State San Marcos on Senior Day at Warrior Stadium. Senior Sebastian Carbajal scored the match-winner early in the second half, and goalkeeper Angel Ruiz-Hernandez turned in a stellar seven-save performance for his seventh shutout of the season and the team's seventh overall.

With the win, Stanislaus State improved to 11-0-1 overall and 5-0-1 in CCAA play, while Cal State San Marcos fell to 4-6-3 and 3-3-0.

First Half
The Warriors created several early scoring opportunities, firing 11 shots in the opening period, but the Cougars' goalkeeper Tony Flores made multiple saves to keep the match scoreless through halftime. Angel Ruiz-Hernandez came up big on the defensive end as well, making three first-half stops to keep the game level.

Second Half
Stan State broke through in the 48th minute when Sebastian Carbajal scored his fifth goal of the season, finishing a setup from midfielder Adrian Yepez—his sixth assist of the year and 10th of his career—to give the Warriors the lead. From there, the Warrior defense remained firm, limiting San Marcos to only a handful of chances while Ruiz-Hernandez made four more saves to preserve the clean sheet.

  The top two seeds receive a first-round bye, and the tournament champion earns the CCAA's automatic berth to the NCAA Championships.

The Warriors will continue their two-match home stand this Friday, Oct. 24, at 4:30 p.m. when they host Chico State on Break the Record Night at Warrior Stadium.
