Eight Stan State Tennis Members Earn Academic All-PacWest Honors
IRVINE, Calif.--- Eight members of the 2024-25 Stan State Women's Tennis Team were named to this year's Academic All-PacWest Conference Team as announced by the PacWest office this evening. These eight student-athletes were Nicollet Alexander, Jaedyn Hendryx, Abbigail Mulick, Annabelle Mulick, Parker Orlando, Alyssa Tay, Emma Yu, and Abigail Zhurko.
To earn Academic All-PacWest Conference honors, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, completed two semesters at their institution, and participated in regular season competition in one of the fifteen sports that the PacWest sponsors. A record 2,740 student-athletes from the PacWest received this honor during the 2024-25 Academic Year, which crushes the previous records of 1,900 in 2024, 1,822 in 2023 and 1,753 recipients in 2022.
Stan State is an affiliated member of the PacWest Conference in women's tennis.
This is the fourth time in her career that Annabelle Mulick has earned this honor. Alyssa Tay has earned this honor three times while Abbigail Mulick and Emma Yu have received the nod twice during their intercollegiate careers as a Warrior.
As a team, they have accumulated a 3.670 GPA during the 2024-25 Academic Year and were honored at the STANYS as the highest-grade point average among the fourteen Warrior intercollegiate athletic teams.
Back in May, Annabelle Mulick, Abbigail Mulick, Alyssa Tay, and Emma Yu were named to the 2024-25 Academic All-District Team sponsored by the Collegiate Sports Communicators. Annabelle Mulick, Tay, and Yu were also inducted into the first class of the Stan State chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma Honors Society.
