Stan State Men’s Basketball Players Participate in Read Across America
TURLOCK, Calif.--- This morning, March 4, Stan State men's basketball players Jordan Smith and Skylar Strickland read books to students at Crowell Elementary School in Turlock, Calif., as part of the nationwide program "Read Across America".
"It is always nice to connect with the community and to put a smile on these children's faces," said Smith.
Read Across America is a week-long celebration of reading that takes place every March, beginning on Dr. Seuss's birthday. The National Education Association (NEA) created the program to encourage reading in children and young adults.

- Play Suspended at Otter Invitational; Warriors to Resume Tuesday Morning at BayonetPlay was suspended due to darkness Monday evening at the Warriors' fall tournament at Bayonet Golf Course, as rainy conditions throughout the day slowed play and prevented completion of the second round. Stanislaus State still has two holes remaining in its second round and will resume play Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. to complete the round before immediately starting the third and final round of the 54-hole event.
