50th ANNUAL HANNY STANISLAUS INVITE THIS MONDAY-TUESDAY, APRIL 14-15
Stan State will host the 50th Annual Hanny Stanislaus Invite this Monday-Tuesday, April 14-15. The first 36 holes will be played at Merced Golf & Country Club in Merced, Calif., this Monday. The final 18 holes will be in Turlock, Calif., at the Turlock Golf & Country Club this Tuesday. Each day there will be an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start. At the conclusions of the invite this Tuesday, there will be an awards luncheon ceremony followed by the Warriors recognize their two seniors in Drew Pritchard and Jack Peters. HEADING INTO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA WEEK, STAN STATE HAS QUALIFIED FOR NATIONALS IN FIVE EVENTS
The Warrior trio of Trent Lauderdale, Mila Real, and Annie Wild have qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships in five events. Trent Lauderdale is fourth in the nation in the 400-hurdles (51.16) and 37th in the 400-meter dash (47.53). Annie Wild is sixth in the 1500-meter run (4:21.36) and 24th in the 800-meter run (2:10.37). Mila Real's time of 1:01.27 places her 22nd in the nation in the 400-hurdles. Stan State men's and women's track & field teams will return to competition this weekend in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The Warriors will be at the Mt. SAC Relays, Cal State LA Twilight, Leopard Twilight, and Leopard Invitational this Wednesday-Saturday, April 16-19.
WOMEN'S TENNIS ENDS REGULAR SEASON WITH 4-3 VICTORY OVER ACADEMY OF ART
Stan State finished the regular season 11-6 after a 4-3 victory over Academy of Art. The Warriors took four of the six singles points: #3 Annabelle Mulick (6-1, 4-6, 6-1), #4 Abbigail Mulick (6-1, 6-3), #5 Maiah White (6-4, 1-6, 6-1), and #6 Nicollet Alexander (default). For the third consecutive season, the Warriors received a berth in the PacWest Conference Championship Tournament, April 16-19 at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Club in Surprise, Ariz. They will open the tournament with a First Round Match this Wednesday, April 16 at 9am vs. MSU Denver. The PacWest Championships quarterfinals are set for Thursday, April 17 followed by the semi-finals on Friday, April 18. The championship match is set for this Saturday, April 19.
SOFTBALL TO HOST NO. 21 SAN FRANCISCO STATE IN FOUR-GAME SERIES, APRIL 18-19
Stan State will return home this Friday-Saturday, April 18-19 for the final time this regular season. The Warriors will face San Francisco in back-to-back doubleheaders. Friday's doubleheader will start at 1:00 p.m. and Saturday's doubleheader has an 11:00 a.m. scheduled start. After Saturday's doubleheader with the Gators, Stan State will recognize its seniors in Victoria Alarcon, Marissa Cerda, Karli DalBianco, Sydney Davis, Shelby Frutoz, Sasha Martello, Allejandra Perea, Katie Thornsberry, and Sarah Warden. The Warriors enter Senior Weekend with a 13-27 overall record and an 8-20 CCAA record. Malia Babasa has a team high .344 batting average followed by Karli DalBianco's .328 average. Victoria Alarcon leads the pitchers with her 7-9 record, 3.15 earned run average, and 68 strikeouts.
BASEBALL SPLITS WEEKEND SERIES WITH SONOMA STATE
The Warrior baseball team split their weekend CCAA series with the visiting Sonoma State Seawolves. Sonoma State took the series opener 10-7 and series finale 14-1. Stan State swept the doubleheader in walk-off fashion 10-9 (10 innings) and 4-3 (7 innings). Cameron Rosen and Austin Balentine recorded the victories for the Warriors. Balentine struck out eight of the 31 batters that the Warrior pitching staff during the four-game series. Jackson Brooks led Stan State with his four runs batted in while Luke Davies scored a team high four runs. Davies led the Warriors with his two doubles and home run and Jonluke Goldman had a triple. Brooks added two stolen bases. Stan State will be at Cal State East Bay (April 17-19).

This week's Stan State Warrior Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by KW Recovery Lab, are a pair of pair of Stan State baseball pitcher Austin Balentine and women's tennis player Abbigail Mulick.
Balentine improved to 4-3 on the season with his 14th career victory in Stan State's game three 4-3 victory over Sonoma. The junior right-handed pitcher pitched his second consecutive complete game victory in the Warriors' DH sweep of the Seawolves on Saturday. He tied his career high in strikeouts with eight and only walked one batter in 7 innings. Balentine gave up three hits (two earned) while giving up eight hits. He didn't let a runner past second base until Sonoma State's two-run sixth inning. The Fremont retired 10 straight batters in the second through fifth innings.
Mulick improved to 9-6 with a two-set victory at Academy of Art in the Warriors' regular season finale in Livermore, Calif., this Friday morning. She won her number four singles match by a score of 6-1 6-3 over the Urban Knights' Paulina Alvarez. Earlier in the match, Mulick teamed with Parker Orlando to win at number three doubles, 6-1 over Academy of Art. The Warriors defeated the Urban Knights 4-3 to sweep the season series. Stan State enters the 2025 PacWest Conference Tennis Championship Tournament with a 11-6 overall record.

- Penguins Win Battle Over WarriorsStan State played in a consolation match versus Dominican University of California today, falling short 4-2.
- Annie Wild and Jackson Oliveira Record NCAA Division II Qualifying Times; Devin Hernandez Captures Hammer and Shot PutStan State's first two days in competition at three invitationals in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, the trio of Annie Wild, Jackson Oliveira, and Devin Hernandez led the way for the Warriors. Wild ran a time of 2:08.96 to improve her qualifying time in the 800-meter run at the Bryan Clay Invitational today. She is now 14th in the nation, second in the CCAA, and second on the Warriors' top ten list. Oliveira ran a 14:15.54 this morning in the 5,000-meter run at the Bryan Clay Invitational. The freshman runner is now 25th in the nation, second in the CCAA, and second on the Warriors' top ten list. Devin Hernandez captured the shot put at the Cal State L.A. Twilight yesterday with a throw of 53.7.75 (16.35m), which places him sixth on the Warrior top ten list. He also won the hammer at the Leopard Invite today with a throw of 180-1 (50.98m). Hernandez is third in the CCAA and sixth on the Warrior top ten list. He is third in the CCAA in the hammer.
- Baseball Pounds Out 21 hits and Score 16 Runs to Take Series Opener 16-8Stan State had six players with multiple-hit games to key its 16-8 series opener 16-8 victory at Cal State East Bay. The Warriors scored 15 of their 16 runs in the first five innings to key its win over the Pioneers. Flavio Perez had a five-hit game while Alex Solis drove in five runs including four on a grand slam home run. Danny Murphy also had five runs batted in for the victors. Quinn Oliver recorded the win in the start for the guests.
- No. 14 Azusa Pacifc Gets the Better of Stan StateStan State played in the quarterfinals of the PacWest Championship Tournament facing Azusa Pacific. The Warriors fell to the Cougars 4-0.
- Warriors Win First Round of PacWest TournamentThe Warriors competed in the First Round of PacWest Tournament, facing Metropolitan State University – Denver, taking down the Roadrunners 4-1.
- Men’s Golf Finishes in Fifth at 50th Annual Hanny Stanislaus InviteStan State shot a three-round score of two-under par 862 to finish in fifth place at the 50th Annual Hanny Stanislaus Invitational. Jack Peters led the way for Stan State with his five-under par 211, which placed him in a three-way tie for seventh place. Western Washington's David Sibbett was the individual medalist with a 12-under par 204. Cal State Monterey Bay captured the team title with a three-round score of 846 (-18) followed by Chico State with a 16-under par 848 and Western Washington with a 14-under par 850. The first two-rounds were played at Merced Golf & Country Club in Merced, Calif., while the today's final round was played in Turlock, Calif., at Turlock Golf & Country Club.
