Stan State’s Trent Lauderdale Named Academic All-American®

TURLOCK, Calif. — Stanislaus State's Trent Lauderdale has been named to the 2024–25 Academic All-America® Men's Track & Field Third Team, as announced this morning by the Collegiate Sports Communicators (CSC). He becomes just the third student-athlete in Stan State men's track & field history to receive this prestigious recognition, joining Dawson Vorderbruegge (2013) and Abraham Alvarado (2016).

Lauderdale's honor adds to an outstanding academic and athletic year. Earlier this summer, he earned a spot on the 2024–25 Academic All-District® Team and was named to the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll. On Tuesday, he also received All-Academic honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

In May, Lauderdale achieved All-American status with a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles at the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships. His time of 51.06 ranks as the second fastest in program history. He also claimed the CCAA title in the event and earned All-West Region honors.

Lauderdale contributed to the Warriors' success in relay events as well, earning All-CCAA honors in both the 4x100 (second place) and 4x400 (third place) relays. Notably, the 4x100 relay team broke a 43-year-old school record with a time of 40.65 at the CCAA Championships.

The Fontana, Calif., native has been a consistent presence on the Stan State Department of Athletics Honor Roll for his excellence in the classroom.
