Stanislaus State’s Annie Wild Earns Academic All-America® Honors

TURLOCK, Calif. — As announced this morning, Stanislaus State's Annie Wild has been named to the 2024–25 Academic All-America® Women's Track & Field Second Team, presented by the Collegiate Sports Communicators.
Wild becomes just the second women's track & field student-athlete in Stan State history to receive this prestigious honor, joining Channing Wilson (2016).

She made school history by winning the national title in the mile at the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Championships — Stanislaus State's first-ever indoor national championship. Wild also earned a fifth-place finish in the 1,500 meters at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, marking her second All-American honor. During the outdoor season, she earned USTFCCCA All-West Region recognition for the 1,500-meter run.

The Ripon, Calif., native also earned All-West Region honors during the indoor season in the mile and as part of the Distance Medley Relay team. In cross country, she was named to both the All-West Region and All-CCAA Teams. Wild captured the CCAA title in the 1,500 meters and finished as runner-up in the 800 meters during the outdoor season.

Academically, Wild was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team, the CCAA Fall and Winter/Spring Academic Honor Rolls, and the Stanislaus State Department of Athletics Honor Roll. She was also named the Stan State
Female Athlete of the Year.

This indoor season, Wild broke the school record in the mile with a time of 4:39.92 and posted the third-fastest 800-meter time in program history at 2:10.34. She was a member of the Distance Medley Relay team that ranks second all-time at Stan State with a time of 11:40.49. Wild also set the school record in the 1,500-meter run (4:19.67) and now ranks fourth all-time in the 800 meters (2:08.76) during the outdoor season.
