THIS WEEK IN WARRIOR SPORTS
SENIOR DAY TO HIGHLIGHT FINAL FOUR-GAME HOME STAND FOR WARRIORS
Stan State will host Cal State San Marcos this Friday-Sunday, April 26-28 in a four-game CCAA series at Warrior Field. The weekend will begin with a 6pm nine-inning game this Friday, April 26. This will be Blue Chip Sponsorship Night as the Warriors will recognize the sponsors of Blue Chip broadcasting the Warriors' baseball and men's and women's basketball teams on the internet through the year. The two teams will be play at 1pm starting doubleheader on Golden Valley Health Center Day, this Saturday, April 27. The series will end with an 11am single series finale on Senior Day, Sunday, April 28. Prior to the game, Stan State will recognize its nine seniors at 10:40 a.m.
MEN'S GOLF SIXTH IN WEST REGION; PARTICIPATING IN CCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS THIS WEEK
The Warriors are sixth in the most recent NCAA Division II West Region rankings. The top ten teams in each of the nation's eight regions will receive a berth to the 2024 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships. The selections will be announced on www.ncaa.com on Friday, April 26. Stan State will be participating in the CCAA Championships, Monday-Wednesday, April 22-24, at the par-72 Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club in Santa Rosa, Calif. The winner of the CCAA's will receive the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Championships.
TRACK & FIELD AT FRESNO IN FINAL INVITE OF REGULAR SEASON
Stan State men's and women's track and field teams will end their regular season at the Bulldog Invite this Friday-Saturday, April 26-27 at Fresno. The Warriors will host the 2024 CCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, May 2-4, at the Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium. Four Warriors have provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Najwa Chouati (10K, 5K), Ero Doce (1500, 10K), Jose Garcia (10K) and Annie Wild (800). Three Stan State track and field student-athletes have the top marks or times in the CCAA in Jason Lindsay (hammer), Doce (5K), and Chouati (10K).
HOPES STILL ALIVE FOR CCAA SOFTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
Stan State's softball team hopes are still alive for a berth in the CCAA Softball Championships, May 1-4, at Cal State San Marcos. The Warriors are in eighth place just percentages out of the sixth and final spot for the CCAAs. The regular season will end this weekend, April 26-27, with Stan State facing Cal State East Bay in a four-game series in Hayward, Calif.
BASEBALL STILL ALIVE WITH EIGHT GAMES LEFT IN THE REGULAR SEASON
The Warriors are still alive for the six-team CCAA Baseball Championships, May 8-11, at Cal Poly Pomona with eight games left in the regular season. They will host Cal State San Marcos, this Friday-Sunday, April 26-28. Stan State will end its season with a four-game series at Cal State L.A., May 2-4.
WOMEN'S TENNIS FINISHES SEASON AT PACWEST CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Warriors finished their 2024 season at the PacWest Tennis Championships this past week, in Surprise, Arizona. Stan State lost 4-1 to Biola in the First Round on Wednesday. Annabelle Mulick was the Warrior victor at number three singles (6-2, 6-3). Thursday evening in the consolation round, the Warriors lost 4-1 to Fresno Pacific. Abbigail Mulick won at number six singles by a 6-3, 6-2 decision.

During the 2023-24 Academic Year, Warrior fans can watch the Stan State athletic teams on the CCAA Network for a monthly subscription rate of $9.95. STAN STATE WARRIOR STUDENT-ATHLETES OF THE WEEK ARE SASHA MARTELLO AND VICTORIA ALARCON
This week's Stan State Warrior Student-Athletes of the Week are a pair of softball players in Victoria Alarcon and Sasha Martello.
Martello hit .368 in the Warriors' five games. She had seven hits of which one was a double while posting .421 slugging and .368 on-base percentages. The junior transfer drove in two runs and scored two runs for Stan State. She also had one putout and seven assists.
Alarcon went 1-2 in the Warrior's five games this weekend. She picked up a seven-hit complete game victory in the Warriors' 6-2 win at CSUSB on Sunday. Alarcon struck out a season high seven batters in the victory for Stan State. For the weekend, she struck out 13 batters and walked five.

- Warriors Move Up to No. 13 Nationally, Ranked for Third Straight WeekThe Stanislaus State women's cross country team earned a No. 13 national ranking in the latest NCAA Division II poll released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Wednesday. This marks the third straight week the Warriors have been ranked in the national top 30, after opening the year at No. 17 in the preseason poll and holding steady at No. 16 the past two weeks. The No. 13 ranking is Stan State's highest national position so far this season.
- Stan State Men’s Soccer Ranked No. 2 Nationally, No. 1 in West for Third Straight WeekStanislaus State men's soccer remains ranked No. 2 in the nation for the third straight week, according to the United Soccer Coaches poll, while also holding the No. 1 spot in the West Region for the third consecutive week. The Warriors are one of only three teams in NCAA Division II to remain undefeated at 6–0, joining Lynn University and Young Harris College. They are also one of four programs from the West Region ranked nationally, alongside Cal Poly Pomona at No. 11, Seattle Pacific at No. 17, Cal State Los Angeles at No. 21, and Cal State San Bernardino at No. 25.
- Stan State Women’s Cross Country Ranked No. 1 in West Region for Third Straight WeekFor the third straight week, the Stanislaus State women's cross country team holds the No. 1 spot in the West Regional rankings, maintaining its top position in the USTFCCCA Division II poll. The Warriors are also ranked No. 16 in the nation, with updated national rankings set to be released by the USTFCCCA tomorrow morning.
- Tennis Concludes First Fall Appearance at ITA West RegionalThe Warriors women's tennis team completed their first fall outing at the ITA West Regional in La Mirada, Calif. on the campus of Biola University.
- Bascom Cards Top-20 Finish at WWU InvitationalStanislaus State men's golf closed out the Western Washington University Invitational on Tuesday at Bellingham Golf & Country Club, finishing 13th in the 14-team field. Owen Bascom led the Warriors with his two-over 218 to finish in a four-way tie for 17th place.
- Stan State Travels for Matches with Cal State Monterey Bay and Cal State East BayStan State's volleyball team is on the road this week to continue conference play. The Warriors will travel to Cal State Monterey Bay on October 3 for a match at 5:00 p.m., followed by a visit to Cal State East Bay on October 4 for a 5:00 p.m. match as well.
