Stan State’s Annie Wild Captures Mile at Nevada Invite
Stan State's Annie Wild finished in first place in the mile this afternoon with a time of 4:54.93. Over in the 60-meter dash Blue Section, Rionna Wallace finished in sixth place in the finals with her time of 7.82. Two Warriors also placed in the top ten in their respective events as Jacqueline Sanchez-Silva was sixth in the mile (5:09.42) and Alexis Nino was ninth in the shot put (44-2 ¾, 13.48m).
Warriors Start Off Home Stand, 1-1
Stan State started its four-game home stand 1-1 after falling 66-54 to the visiting Cal State San Marcos Cougars. The Warriors started the weekend with a 95-85 victory over Sonoma State on Thursday night. They loss this afternoon despite Jeremiah Jones scoring a game high 24 points for his 17th straight game scoring in double digits. Jonathan Tchengang added 11 points for the hosts.
Stan State Struggles Versus Cal State San Marcos Despite Pair of Double-Doubles from Da'Myiah Lewis and Daja Scott-Mitchell
Stan State played Cal State San Marcos this afternoon, falling short 69-52. Daja Scott-Mitchell led the Warriors in scoring with 18 points, followed by Da'Myiah Lewis with 13 points.
Warriors’ DMR Records Provisional Time While Breaking Facility Record to Highlight Day One of Nevada Invite for Stan State
The Stan State distance medley relay team of Jacqueline Sanchez-Silva, Mila Real, Crystal Hernandez, and Annie Wild ran a first-place time of 11:53.07 to break the Reno Sparks Convention Center record in that event. With the time, the Warriors provisionally qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Former Stan State and Turlock High Head Coach to Throw Out Ceremonial First Pitch at Warriors’ Regular Season Home Opener, January 31
Former Stan State and Turlock High School head baseball coach Mark de la Motte will be throwing out the first pitch for the Stan State Warriors' regular season home opener on Friday, January 31 at Warrior Stadium on the campus of Stanislaus State. The ceremony scheduled to take place at approximately 3:55 p.m.
