This Week in Warrior Sports Dec. 23-Jan 6   BACK HOME IN THE FITZ IN THE NEW YEAR Stan State men and women's basketball teams will return home to The Fitzpatrick Arena in the New Year, January 2 and 4.  The Warriors will host Cal Poly Humboldt the evening of Thursday, January 2 (5:30 p.m.-women; 7:30 p.m.-men).  They will entertain Chico State the afternoon of Saturday, January 4 on City of Turlock Day (1:00 p.m.-women; 3:00 p.m.-men).

William Chavarin's two free throws with three seconds left in overtime gave the visiting Stan State Warriors a 69-68 victory over the Cal State Monterey Bay Otters this afternoon in a CCAA match-up in Seaside, Calif.  Chavarin finished with a career high 18 points and was one of three Warriors to score in double figures.  Cameron Walker added 12 points and Jason Cibull chipped in 11 points for the victors.
