Thirty-Seven Stan State Student-Athletes Named to 2024-25 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll
TURLOCK, Calif.-- As announced the office of the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) this evening, thirty-seven Stan State Fall Student-Athletes were named to the 2024-25 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll.
To be named to the CCAA Fall All-Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be of sophomore athletic standing or higher, own a 3.33 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or better while competing in a CCAA sponsored sport in that sport. The CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll consists of eligible student-athletes who compete in the sports of men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, and women's volleyball.
A total of 475 men and women from across the CCAA's 12-member of institutions have been honored for their efforts in the classroom for the fall and spring.
Back in November, eight Warrior student-athletes were named to their respective Academic All-District Teams as selected by the College Communicators in Aliah Avila (women's soccer), Hayley Burdo (volleyball), Alex Byrd (volleyball), Marco Carbajal (men's soccer), Makenna Carrillo (volleyball), Kayla Perez (women's soccer), Makeila Yancey (women's soccer), and Ellison Weaver (volleyball).
Seven Warriors are receiving this honor for the third time in their career in Malia Allen, Daniel Avalos, Haley Burdo, Makenna Carrillo, Alecxander Cuellar, Haylee Heffner, and Ellison Weaver. Ten are being named to the CCAA Fall All-Academic Honor Roll for the second time in Marco Carbajal, Adin Dibble, Kryslin James, Kaia Mills, Alexi Ochoa, Amber Pon, Dominic Robles, Ryan Rosas, Sammy Villanueva, and Makeila Yancey.
The Academic All-District Team for cross country will be announced this May.

- Stan State’s National Champion Annie Wild to Throw Out the First Pitch at Warriors’ Baseball Game on Student Affairs Night, April 11Stan State women's track and field student-athlete Annie Wild will be throwing out the first pitch on Student Affairs Night, Friday, April 11, when the Warriors' baseball team host Sonoma State. The ceremonial first pitch will be at 5:55 p.m. at Warrior Field. Wild captured the mile at the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships, with her time of 4:40.62, in Indianapolis, Ind., on March 15. The Ripon, Calif., native is the Warriors' first ever Indoor Track & Field National Champion and 24th All-American in the program history.

The series will begin with a 6:00 p.m. game on Friday, which will be Student Affairs Night. Prior to the game, Stan State's National Champion, Annie Wild, will be throwing out the first pitch. The Warriors will face the Seawolves in a 1:00 p.m. starting doubleheader on Saturday. Two-time All-CCAA pitcher, Andrew Stueve'12, will throw out the first pitch. The series will conclude on Sunday with a noon starting game. This will also be Turlock Latin Chamber of Commerce Day.

Arthur Navarette Jr. had two hits for the Warriors. LaKeal Morris pitched 2.1 scoreless innings of relief while striking out two.
- Stan State’s Lauderdale Qualifies for Nationals in 400-Meter Dash; Wallace Breaks School Record in 200 at the Brutus Hamilton InvitationalIn the final day of their busy weekend in the Bay Area, Stan State's duo of Trent Lauderdale and Rionna Wallace highlighted Saturday for the Warriors at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational. Lauderdale ran a fourth-place time of 47.53 to qualify for the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the 400-meter dash. He is now fourth on Stan State's Top Ten list. For the second day in a row, Wallace broke the school record in the 200 with a time of fourth-place time of 24.41.
- Stan State Earns Fourth 7-0 Sweep This SeasonStan State was hosted by Jessup University for today's match. The Warriors took wins on every court to win 7-0, with one doubles match unfinished and one singles match won by forfeit.
- Balentine and Timely Hitting Combine for Warriors’ Split of Today’s Road DoubleheaderStan State split today's road doubleheader with the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos this afternoon at Pomona's Scolinos Field falling in the opener 3-1 before taking the night cap 4-2. Austin Balentine pitched his first complete victory of the season to improve to 3-3 in the night cap. Stan State scored three of its four runs in the night cap with two-outs including two on a Ryan Leonesio double. The Warriors lost game one 3-1 despite great outings from starter Zach Geiss, and reliever, Noah Chelberg.
