Stanislaus State Faces Toros Friday, Hosts Gators on Senior Day

TURLOCK, Calif.--- The Stanislaus State women's soccer team looks to strengthen its postseason positioning during the final weekend of CCAA play, visiting Cal State Dominguez Hills on Friday, Oct. 31, at 4:30 p.m. before returning home to celebrate Senior Day against San Francisco State on Sunday, Nov. 2, at 11:30 a.m. at Warrior Stadium. The Warriors will then close out their 2025 regular season next week with a non-conference match at UC Merced on Thursday, Nov. 6.

Weekend Recap
The Warriors split their two matches last weekend, falling 2–1 at home to Chico State before rebounding with a 2–0 victory at Cal State Monterey Bay. Against the Otters, Aliah Avila converted a first-half penalty kick and Makeila Yancey added an insurance goal in the 71st minute off an assist from Haylee Sousa. Goalkeeper Zara Mujica made six saves to record her sixth shutout of the season and seventh victory overall. The result improved Stanislaus State to 7–4–4 overall and 3–3–2 in CCAA play, including a 2–1–3 mark away from home.

Warriors Update
Through 15 matches, Stanislaus State has allowed only 14 goals while posting six shutouts behind a steady defensive unit led by seniors Yancey, Katie Smith, and Kellyann Rodriguez. Mujica has anchored the back line with a 0.93 goals-against average and a .797 save percentage over 1,350 minutes in goal. Offensively, Olivia Maragos leads the Warriors with four goals and nine points, while Sousa and Avila each have seven points and provide consistent attacking pressure. Yancey's goal Sunday was her first of the season, and Roa has also contributed two goals and two assists as part of a balanced attack that features nine different goal scorers this season.

CCAA Leaders
Zara Mujica ranks among the conference's top goalkeepers, sitting third in saves, fourth in shutouts, sixth in goals-against average, and tied for sixth in save percentage. Aliah Avila is tied for fifth in the CCAA with assists and ranks eighth in game-winning goals, while Olivia Maragos is tied for seventh in goals. Haylee Sousa and Kellyann Rodriguez are both tied for fifth in assists.

Warrior Record Book
Senior forward Aliah Avila continues to climb the Warrior career charts and is now tied for fourth in program history with nine game-winning goals. Mujica's six shutouts this season are tied for the sixth-most in a single season, and she continues to rank among the program's top goalkeepers in save percentage and wins.

Scouting Cal State Dominguez Hills
Cal State Dominguez Hills (5–8–2, 2–5–1 CCAA) snapped a four-match skid with a 2–0 home win over San Francisco State on Sunday. The Toros are led by Kaylee Leavitt with three goals and Alexis Delgado with two goals and two assists. Goalkeeper Audrey Haman has started all 15 matches, posting a .823 save percentage and five shutouts while allowing just 0.93 goals per game. CSUDH averages eight shots per match and has been especially strong defensively at home, allowing only six goals in 10 matches.

Cal State Dominguez Hills leads the all-time series 19–12, but Stanislaus State has won seven of the last eight meetings, including a 2–0 victory last season in Carson.

Scouting San Francisco State
San Francisco State (1–11–3, 1–6–1 CCAA) has struggled to find its footing this season, scoring only eight goals in 15 matches while allowing 34. The Gators are led by Ashlyn Jones with two goals, while goalkeeper Kylie Tone has recorded 61 saves with a .813 save percentage and 1.42 goals-against average. SFSU enters the weekend winless in its last seven outings but has played several close matches down the stretch.

Stanislaus State leads the all-time series with San Francisco State 22–5 and has won four of the last five meetings between the programs.

CCAA Soccer Championship Tournament
The CCAA Soccer Championship is a six-team tournament that begins with first-round matches on Sunday, Nov. 9, at the site of the higher seeds. The semifinals and championship will be played Friday through Sunday, Nov. 14–16, at Cardinale Stadium in Seaside on the campus of Cal State Monterey Bay. The top two seeds receive first-round byes, and the tournament champion earns the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Championships. Stanislaus State enters the final week tied for sixth place in the CCAA standings and remains in contention for a postseason berth.

Senior Day
Sunday's home finale will serve as Senior Day at Warrior Stadium, honoring graduating Warriors Malia Allen, Reyna Dismukes, Olivia Iturria, Shauna Johnston, Alexi Ochoa, Brynn Phillips, Kellyann Rodriguez, Katie Smith, Makeila Yancey, and Zoie Willson. The recognition ceremony will take place prior to the 11:30 a.m. kickoff against San Francisco State.
