VOLLEYBALL TO FACE NO. 4 CHAMINADE IN NCAA DIVISION II WEST REGIONAL QUARTERFINAL
Stan State will continue its post-season this Thurs., Dec. 5 at 4:30 p.m., when the Warriors face nationally ranked No. 4 Chaminade in the NCAA Division II West Regional Quarterfinals in Pomona, Calif. If they defeat the Silverswords, the Warriors will face either San Francisco State or Cal State Los Angeles in the semi-finals at 7:00 p.m. Fri., Dec. 6. The regional final is set for 5:00 p.m., Sat., Dec. 7 with the right to advance to the NCAA Division II National Championships in Sioux Falls, S.D., Dec. 12-14. iNDOOR TRACK/FIELD SEASON BEGINS THIS WEEKEND IN RENO
Stan State women's indoor track and field team will begin their 2024-25 season in Reno, Nev., participating in the Silver State Invitational this weekend, Dec. 5-7, at the Reno Sparks Convention Center. After Saturday, the Warriors will return to the track in Seattle, Wash., Jan. 17-18 at the UW Preview and the Mile City Preview. They will continue the following Fri., Jan. 24 in Reno, Nev., at the Nevada Invite. Stan State will return to Reno, Nev., Feb. 7-8 to participate in the Wolf Pack Classic. Stan State will end the indoor regular season in Seattle, Wash., at the Husky Classic, Feb. 14-15. This year's NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships are set for March 13-15 at the Fall Creek Pavilion in Indianapolis, Ind.
MEN'S BASKETBALL START OFF CCAA PLAY 1-0 TO FINISH WEEK 1-1
Stan State went 1-1 in its two home games at The Fitz this weekend to improve to 4-3 overall and 1-0 in the CCAA. The Warriors started the week with a 66-62 loss to Academy of Art on Wednesday. The trio of Jeremiah Jones (15 points), Jonathan Tchengang (15 points), and William Chavarin (12 points) led the way for Stan State. They finished the week with a 90-79 victory over CSU Monterey Bay in their CCAA opener. Jeremiah Jones had 28 points to lead the way while Jason Cibull had a season high 19 points. Daniel Ameyaw had a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Jason Zimmer chipped in 11 points for the victors.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL FINISH WEEK 1-1 AFTER 21-POINT CCAA OPENER VICTORY
The Warriors went 1-1 this week to improve to 2-4 overall and 1-0 in the CCAA. Stan State started the week with a 68-62 loss to Jessup University. Da'Myiah Lewis led the way for the Warriros with a double-double performance of 17 points and 10 rebounds. Jadyn Patterson added 11 points and Kristan Anderson chipped in 10 points. Stan State finished with a 69-48 victory over CSU Monterey Bay in both teams' CCAA opener on Saturday. Talia Maxwell led the way with a game high 25 points and eight rebounds. Da'Myiah Lewis chipped in 14 points while Daja Scott-Mitchell had a season high 10 points off the bench for the Warriors.
MORE HONORS FOR AVILA
After concluding her season with the Warriors in the CCAA Tournament Championship semi-finals in Arcata, Calif., Nov. 15, Stan State's Aliah Avila was named to the D2CCA All-West Region First Team. At the CCAA Tournament Championship, Avila was named to the All-Tournament Tournament. Earlier in November, the Warrior sophomore was named the CCAA Midfielder of the Year along with being a First Team All-CCAA honoree. Besides earning honors on the pitch, Avila was named to the Academic All-District Soccer Team as selected by the College Sports Communicators.
WARRIOR ATHLETICS DEPARTMENT CRAB FEED SET FOR FEBRUARY 8, 2025
The Annual Stan State Department of Athletics' Crab Freed is set for February 8, 2025, in the Ed & Bertha Fitzpatrick Arena on the Stanislaus State campus. This week's Stan State Warrior Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by KW Recovery Lab, are Jeremiah Jones and Talia Maxwell.
Talia Maxwell averaged 16.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 blocked shots, 3.0 steals, and 2.5 assists per game. She started the week with eight points, nine rebounds, and five blocked shots in the Warriors' six-point loss to Jessup. The
Warrior sophomore finished with a game high 25 points, eight rebounds, and four steal performance in the Stan State 69-48 victory over CSUMB in both teams' CCAA opener. She shot 45% for Stan State in its 1-1 week.
Jeremiah Jones averaged 21.5 points, 5.0 assists, and 2.5 steals per game while posting a five-to-one assist-to turnover ratio. He started the weekend scoring 15 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, dishing out six assists and recording three steals in the Warriors' four-point loss to Academy of Art. Jones finished the week scoring a game high 28 points and dishing out four assists in Stan State's 90-79 win over CSUMB in both teams' conference opener. The senior guard shot 51% for Stan State during its 1-1 weekend.

- Women’s Indoor Track & Field to Begin 2024-25 Season in Reno This WeekendStan State women's indoor track and field team, under the direction of head coach Troy Johnson, will begin their 2024-25 season this Friday-Saturday, December 6-7 at the Silver State Invitational at the Reno Sparks Convention Center in Reno, Nevada. The Warriors will be sending ten student-athletes to compete in twelve events. The invitational will begin at 10:00 a.m. both mornings for the Warriors.

The Warriors, entering as the sixth seed, will face the third seed #4 Chaminade on Thursday, December 5th at 4:30 p.m. in their first NCAA Tournament appearance.

The Warriors will be in Los Angeles this Thursday, Dec. 5 for a 7:30 p.m. scheduled tip-off with Cal State Los Angeles. They will end their weekend in Carson, Calif., for a 3:00 p.m. scheduled tip-off with Cal State Dominguez Hills.
- Warrior Bench Keys 90-79 CCAA Opening Win Over CSUMBStan State's bench outscored the visiting Cal State Monterey Bay Otters 30-19 to key the Warriors' 90-79 victory in both team's CCAA opener at The Fitzpatrick Arena. Jeremiah Jones had a game high 28 points to go with his four assists, three rebounds, and one steal. Jason Cibull had a season high 19 points off the bench.
