SENIOR WEEKEND THIS WEEKEND AT WARRIOR FIELD
Stan State's baseball team will host Cal State Monterey Bay in their final home stand of the 2025 regular season this weekend, April 25-27.  The series will begin under the lights this Friday, April 25 with a 6:00 p.m. scheduled first pitch on Blue Chip Broadcasting Sponsor Night. The two teams will continue the series with a 1:00 p.m. scheduled doubleheader Saturday, April 26.  The series finale and the Warriors' final home game of the regular season is set for Sunday, April 27 at noon.  Prior to the game, Stan State will recognize its nineteen seniors at approximately 11:20 a.m. on the diamond. 

WILD AND OLIVEIRA PROVISIONALLY QUALIFY FOR NATIONALS
The duo of Annie Wild and Jackson Oliveira each recorded NCAA Division II qualifying times for the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships.  Wild improved her times in the 800-meter run (47.13) and 1500-meter run (4:19.67).  Oliveira qualified in the 5000-meter run with a time of 14:15.54.  With her time in the 1500-meter run, Wild breaks the eleven-year-old school record that was held by current assistant coach Courtney Heiner. Stan State had thirty top five placers in the four invitationals that the Warriors competed in this weekend in Southern California.  Of those, the Warriors captured four events in Devin Hernandez (shot put, LA Twilight; first, shot put, Leopard; hammer, Leopard), Alex Nino (hammer, Leopard),

WOMEN'S TENNIS FINISH EIGHTH AT PACWEST CHAMPIONSHIPS
Stan State went 1-3 in the 2025 PacWest Women's Tennis Championships in Surprise, Ariz., this past weekend.  The Warriors finished the season with a 12-9 overall record.  The Warriors started the championships with a 4-1 First Round victory over MSU-Denver.  Victors for Stan State were the doubles teams of Emma Yu and Annabelle Mulick and Parker Orlando along with these winners at singles Emma Yu, Maiah White, and Abbigail Mulick.  Stan State lost 4-0 to No. 14 Azusa Pacific in the quarterfinals.  They lost 4-2 to Dominican in the consolation round.  Annabelle Mulick was victorious at No. 3 singles as was Parker Orlando at No. 6 singles.  The Warriors finished with a 4-3 loss to Colorado Mesa in the seventh-place match. WARRIORS SWEEP CAL STATE EAST BAY
For the first time since 2019, Stan State's baseball team swept a four-game CCAA series sweeping Cal State East Bay in Hayward this weekend.  The Warriors hit .355 as a team with four players hitting over .400 in Flavio Perez (.667), Robert Valdivia (.550), Ryan Leonesio (.438), and Jonluke Goldman (.417).  Perez drove home nine runs with Alex Solis and Valdivia each driving in seven runs.  Valdivia scored a team leading nine runs.  Perez and Solis each hit two home runs and Valdivia had one home run.  Valdivia had three doubles followed by Perez's two. Recording victories for the Warriors were Quinn Oliver, Cameron Rosen, Rocco Gurrola, and Austin Balentine with Noah Chelberg recording a save. 

MEN'S GOLFERS COMPETING FOR SEVENTH CCAA TITLE THIS MONDAY-WEDNESDAY
Stan State will be competing for the Warriors' seventh CCAA Title this Monday-Wednesday, April 25-27 at the par-72 Sandpiper Golf Club in Santa Barbara, Calif.  The Warriors are coming off a fifth place finish at the 50th Hanny Stanislaus Invite this past week in Turlock, Calif.  Stan State, who is sixth in the most recent NCAA Division NII West Region rankings, shot a two-under par 852.  The Warriors were led by Jack Peters' five-under par 211, which tied him for seventh place.

SOFTBALL FINISHES REGULAR SEASON IN ARCATA
Stan State will finish off its 2025 season this Friday-Saturday, April 25-26, with a four-game series with Cal Poly Humboldt in Arcata, Calif.  The Warriors are coming off a four-game series against No. 23 San Francisco State which was their final home stand of the regular season.  McKenna Beach led the Warriors with her .429 batting average followed by Allejandra Perea's .357.  Karli DalBianco and Katie Thornsberry each hit .286.  Beach, Perea, and Shelby Frutoz each hit home runs for the Warriors.  After the conclusion of the four-game series with the Gators this past Saturday, Stan State recognized its nine seniors. 

WARRIORS HAVE SIX NCAA DII QUALIFYING TIMES
The Stan State men's and women's outdoor track and field teams have recorded NCAA Division II qualifying times in six events heading into next week's CCAA Championships at Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium, May 1-3.  Trent Lauderdale is sixth in the 400-hurdles (51.16) and 42nd in the 400-meter dash (47.53).  Annie Wild is sixth in the 1500-meter run (4:19.67) and 16th in the 800-meter run (2:08.76).  Mila Real is 23rd in the 400-hurdles (1:01.27) while Jackson Oliveira is 52nd in the 5000-meter run (14:15.54). This year's NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships, May 22-24, at The ThunderBowl on the campus of CSU Pueblo in Pueblo, Colo.

THIS WEEK'S STAN STATE WARRIOR STUDENT-ATHLETES OF THE WEEK, PRESENTED BY KW RECOVERY LAB, ARE FLAVIO PEREZ AND ANNIE WILD
This week's Stan State Warrior Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by KW Recovery Lab, are baseball's Flavio Perez and women's track and field's Annie Wild

Perez keyed the Warriors' sweep of Cal State East Bay on the road in Hayward going 12-for-18 for a .667 batting average, 1.111 slugging percentage, and a .632 on-base percentage.  The senior third baseman drove in nine runs and scored five runs.  He had two doubles and two home runs.  Perez started the weekend going five-for-six, driving in three runs, and scoring three runs in Stan State's 16-8 series opening victory.  He came back in game two going three-for-five with three runs batted in with two home runs.  His two-run home run broke a 6-6 tie in the 5th in which Stan State won 12-8.  Perez in the Warriors' 6-5 night cap victory was two-for-four.  He finished going two-for-three with three runs batted in including a two-out two-run double that broke the 4-4 tie in the sixth as Stan State won the series finale 6-4.  
 
Wild had an impressive weekend at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif., this weekend.  She started the weekend improving her NCAA DII provisional time in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:08.76, which placed her 56th in the field consisting of the top runners in NCAA DI, DII, DIII, and NAIA.  She is now 16th in the nation, first in the CCAA, and fourth on the Warriors' top ten list.  The Warrior sophomore finished the weekend breaking the eleven-year old Stan State record in the 1500-meter run with a NCAA DII provisional time of 4:19.67 in the 1500-meter run, which placed her 28th in the field.  She is now sixth in the nation, first in the CCAA and first in the Warrior record books. The previous record was held by current Stan State assistant coach Courtney Heiner (4:20.05).
