NEW ORLEANS---  As announced this afternoon by the United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), six members of the Stan State men's and women's track & field teams were named to the 2025 USTFCCCA All-West Region Team.  These six Warriors are Lamont Lane, Trent Lauderdale, Alexis Nino, Mila Real, Jaevin Sawyer, and Annie Wild.

Top five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top three ranked relay team.  Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.
Lane earned All-Region honors in the men's hammer.  The senior thrower placed third at the CCAA Track & Field Championships with a throw of 177-1 (53.99m) to earn All-CCAA honors.  Earlier this season, Lane had a throw of 182-11 (55.75m) to place fifth at the West Coast Relays in Clovis, Calif. 

Lauderdale earned All-Region honors in the men's 400-hurdles.  He captured the 400-hurdles title at the CCAA Track. & Field Championships with a first-place time of 51.06. That time qualified him for the 2025 NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships, which he will be running in the preliminaries on May 22 in Pueblo, Colo.  He is second on the Warrior top ten list with that time of 51.06 in the 400-hurdles.  Lauderdale earned All-CCAA honors also as a part of the school record breaking 4x100 relay team (40.65) and 4x400 relay team (3:16.23) that placed second and third respectively. 

Earning All-Region honors in the women's hammer event was Alexis Nino.  The Warrior sophomore had a personal best throw of 172-3 (52.50m) at the Kim Duyst Invitational in March.  At the CCAA Track & Field Championships, Nino captured the CCAA Title in the hammer with her throw of 158-9 (48.38m).  She earned All-CCAA honors by placing third in the shot put (43-7.25, 13.29m).

Real was an All-Region honoree in the women's 400-hurdles.  She ran a school record and personal best time of 59.70 at the APU Franson Last Chance Meet, May 10, in Azusa, Calif., which she finished second in the field.  Real will be running in the NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships' preliminaries in the 400-hurdles on May 22.  She earned All-CCAA honors in three events at the CCAA Track & Field Championships in the 100-hurdles (third, 14.84), 400-hurdles (second, 1:00.16), and women's 4x400 relay team (3:51.16). 

In the men's 200-meter dash, Sawyer was named to the All-Region team.  The freshman sprinter ran a time of 21.07 to capture the CCAA Title in the 200 at the CCAA Track & Field Championships.  With that time, Sawyer is now second on the Warriors' top ten list.  He broke the Warrior school record with his third-place time in the 100-meter dash of 10.42. The CCAA Men's Track & Field Male Freshman of the Meet earned All-CCAA honors in the 100-meter dash (third), 4x100 relay teams (second), and 4x400 relay team (third) to go along with his CCAA Title in the 200.

Wild earned All-Region honors in the women's 1500-meter run.  Wild ran a personal best time of 4:19.68 in the 1500-meter at the Bryan Clay Invitational in mid-April.  With that time, Wild earned a spot in the 2025 NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships.  She will be running in the 1500-meter preliminaries on May 22.  At the CCAA Track Field Championships, Wild captured the 1500-meter run to earn All-CCAA honors with a time of 4:21.42.  She earned All-CCAA with her second-place time of 2:12.31 in the 800-meter run.  The 2025 NCAA Division II National Indoor Track & Field Champion in the mile holds the school record in the 1500-meter run and is fourth on the top ten list in the 800-meter run.
