Warriors Announce 2025-26 Men’s Basketball Schedule
TURLOCK, Calif. — The Stanislaus State men's basketball team, led by ninth-year head coach Paul Trevor, has unveiled its 2025-26 schedule — a balanced slate featuring non-conference tests, competitive CCAA matchups, and postseason opportunities as the Warriors look to make noise once again inside Ed & Bertha Fitzpatrick Arena.
The Warriors tip off their season Nov. 14-15 at the Pioneer Challenge hosted by Cal State East Bay in Hayward, facing Jessup University on Friday and Fresno Pacific on Saturday. Stan State then heads to the Bay Area to visit Menlo College (Nov. 19) and Dominican University (Nov. 22) before making its home debut Nov. 26 against Saint Martin's. The Warriors close non-conference play Nov. 29 with a home matchup versus Cal Maritime.
CCAA action begins Dec. 4 at Cal Poly Humboldt, followed by a road test at Chico State (Dec. 6). Stan State wraps up the calendar year at home against Cal State San Bernardino (Dec. 19) and Cal Poly Pomona (Dec. 21).
The new year opens in Turlock with home contests versus Cal State Monterey Bay (Jan. 2) and Cal State San Marcos (Jan. 4). The Warriors then travel south for games at Cal State LA (Jan. 8) and Cal State Dominguez Hills (Jan. 10) before returning home for four of their next six — hosting San Francisco State (Jan. 15) and Cal State East Bay (Jan. 17), followed by a home-and-home series with UC Merced (Jan. 22 in Merced; Jan. 24 in Turlock).
January closes with trips to Cal State San Marcos (Jan. 29) and Cal State Monterey Bay (Jan. 31). February opens with a key homestand versus Chico State (Feb. 5) and Cal Poly Humboldt (Feb. 7). The Warriors then visit Cal State San Bernardino (Feb. 12) and Cal Poly Pomona (Feb. 14) before finishing the home schedule with Cal State Dominguez Hills (Feb. 19) and Senior Day vs. Cal State LA (Feb. 21). The regular season concludes on the road at Cal State East Bay (Feb. 26) and San Francisco State (Feb. 28).
The CCAA Tournament is slated for March 5-7 in Pomona, followed by the NCAA West Regionals (March 13-17). The NCAA Elite Eight will take place March 25-27 in Pittsburgh, Pa., and the Division II National Championship will be held April 5 in Indianapolis, Ind.
Returning Warriors
After finishing 11-17 overall and 8-14 in CCAA play last season, the Warriors look to build on that foundation with a mix of returning talent and new additions. Senior forward Daniel Ameyaw, an All-CCAA honoree, returns after averaging 9.0 points and 7.4 rebounds per game, while guard Jason Cibull shot better than 40 percent from three-point range.
The veteran core also includes Lloyd French (6.2 ppg, 3.3 rpg as a freshman), who provides length and defensive versatility, and Jason Zimmer, a redshirt junior who connected on 43.8 percent from deep while Jordan Smith returns as a steady, experienced wing.
Newcomers
A strong developmental group is also set to debut, including redshirt forwards Malik Johnson, Antony Newman-Gomez, and JJ Funk, along with redshirt guards Tahjae Ordonio and Sky Strickland. Freshmen Malachi Johnson (forward) and Mark Jones III (guard) headline a talented incoming class joined by Caedman Dickson (forward) and Samuel Chavarin (guard). Donjae Lindsey, a transfer from East Los Angeles College, adds toughness and scoring to the guard rotation while senior transfer Javon Johnson joins the backcourt, bringing athleticism and experience to the lineup.
Local product Ross Widemon from Turlock High School and Jaylen Valdez will redshirt this season as they begin their collegiate careers.
With a roster blending experience, size, and athleticism, Coach Trevor's 2025-26 Warriors are poised to climb the CCAA standings and make a postseason push.
All home games will be played at Ed & Bertha Fitzpatrick Arena in Turlock. Live coverage will be available on FloCollege for all home and CCAA contests. All Warrior home games will also be broadcast on BlueChip Broadcasting with Bryan Nelson calling the play-by-play. In addition, away games at the Pioneer Challenge along with non-conference games at Menlo and Dominican will also be broadcast on BlueChip Broadcasting.
