Stan State Finish Regular Season At Cal Poly Humboldt

TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State travels to Arcata, Calif. to play the final games of its regular season. The Warriors will be hosted by Cal Poly Humboldt for a four-game series consisting of two doubleheaders, beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26th and playing at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 27th.  
 
LAST WEEK: Stan State hosted No. 23 San Francisco State for four games this past week. The Gators continued their momentum as the Warriors fell in each game despite offensive action. San Francisco State took Friday's games 5-3 and 11-7. Shelby Frutoz put the first run on the board for the Warriors with her second home run of the season, while Frutoz and McKenna Beach each went one-for-two with a run scored and a walk in game one. McKenna Beach went three-for-four in game two, scoring two runs and batting in two more, including hitting her fifth home run this season.
 
On Saturday, the Gators kept their pressure on the Warriors, taking the games 2-1 and 9-6. Sarah Warden batted in the Warriors' lone run in the first game with a ground out, allowing Karlia DalBianco to score. In game two, Allejandra Perea went three-for-four, hitting a home run of her own for her second this season. Perea also score three of Stan State's six runs.
 
WARRIORS IN REVIEW: Stan State is 13-31 overall and 8-24 in CCAA play. The Warriors are hitting .243 as a team and hold a 4.08 earned run average. The Warriors have a .305 slugging percentage .326 on base percentage. Their 58 errors over 44 games earn them a .956 fielding percentage.
 
HITTERS: Two Warriors are hitting over .300 in Malia Babasa (.331) and Karli DalBianco (.324). Babasa leads the team in hits (45), stolen bases (8), and runs scored (21). Karli DalBianco has batted the most runs in (18) and leads in slugging with (.415). Dal Bianco and McKenna Beach are tied for the highest on base percentage at .385 and Beach has hit the most home runs with five.
 
PITCHERS: Victoria Alarcon has a 7-10 record, leading the team in strikeouts with 74 and a 3.07 earned run average over 102.2 innings of work. Bree Barner has recorded Stan State's only save thus far, while Sasha Martello has recorded the team's fewest walks with nine over 65.1 innings.
 
MULTIPLES: Malia Babasa has earned the most multi-hit games with 13, recording 10 games with two hits, two games with three hits, and one game with four hits. Karli DalBianco follows with 12 games with 10 two-hit games and two three-hit games. Babasa holds longest hitting steak with 14 games, with her longest on-base streak at 15. Karli DalBianco and McKenna Beach have the most multi-RBI games with four. DalBianco has three games with two RBIs and one with five RBIs, while Beach has two games with two RBIs and two games with three RBIs.
 
NATIONALLY RANKED: Stan State is in the top 60 in NCAA Division II in several categories. As a team, they are 54th in sacrifice bunts (33), 37th in double plays (18), and 32nd in double plays per game (0.41). Sasha Martello is 14th in walks per seven innings at .96.
 
CCAA RANKINGS: The Warriors have claimed top positions in several categories within the CCAA. As a team, Stan State is fifth in total sacrifice bunts (33) and strikeout-to-walk-ratio (1.57), and sixth in strikeouts per seven innings with 3.68. Victoria Alarcon is sixth in shutouts with three and second in complete games with 13. Sasha Martello is first in walks per seven innings with .96.
 
ALARCON: Victoria Alarcon has pitched 29 complete games so far in her career. This places her in ninth all-time in the Stan State softball record book. Her 209 career strikeouts finds her at seventh all time.  
 
HOMERS: The Warriors are now up to 12 home runs as a team, with McKenna Beach leading the way at five. Karli DalBianco, Allejandra Perea, and Shelby Frutoz have all hit two home runs.
 
CAL POLY HUMBOLDT: The Lumberjacks (25-22, 14-18) are batting .298 and hold a 3.63 earned run average as a team. Five players are batting over .300 in Alyssa Smokey (.447), Shelby Shanks (.338), Alyssa Ramirez (.317), Katlyn Gifford (.313), and Hailee Moors (.303). Alyssa Smokey leads in hits with 55, runs batted in (44), home runs (6), and slugging percentage (.683).  Hailee Moore leads in runs scored (37) and stolen bases (9). Gaige Garcia holds the best record at 15-5 and lowest earned run average at 3.09. Garcia has also struck out the most batters at 68 over 119.1 innings. Riley Shopp has recorded three of the five Lumberjacks' saves.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES: Dating back to 2007, Cal Poly Humboldt leads the all-time series 46-19. The two teams split their series last season, with the Warriors recording two shutouts and the Lumberjacks finding one.
