TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State plays its final home game this week, hosting No. 21 San Francisco State on April 18th and 19th. On Saturday, April 19th, the Warriors will be recognizing their seniors for Senior Day.
LAST WEEK: The Warriors traveled to Cal State Monterey Bay, taking one game of the four-game series. On Friday, April 11th, Stan State fell in the first game 9-2 but came back to win the second contest 7-1. McKenna Beach had a great outing in both games, hitting three home runs total with a two-run homer in the first game and two solo home runs in the second. On Saturday, April 12th, the Otters bested the Warriors 5-2 and 12-2. Karli DalBianco went four-for-seven with an RBI and a run scored over the two games while Sasha Martello hit a home run of her own in the second game.
WARRIORS IN REVIEW: Stan State is 13-27 overall and 8-20 in CCAA play. The Warriors are hitting .243 as a team and hold a 4.12 earned run average. The Warriors have a .301 slugging percentage .325 on base percentage. Their 50 errors over 40 games earn them a .958 fielding percentage.
HITTERS: Two Warriors are hitting over .300 in Malia Babasa (.344) and Karli DalBianco (.328). Babasa leads the team in hits (45), stolen bases (8), runs scored (21), and on base percentage (.390). Karli DalBianco has batted the most runs in (18) and leads in slugging with (.430). McKenna Beach has hit the most home runs with four.
PITCHERS: Victoria Alarcon has a 7-9 record, leading the team in strikeouts with 68 and a 3.15 earned run average over 95.2 innings of work. Bree Barner has recorded Stan State's only save thus far, while Sasha Martello has recorded the team's fewest walks with eight over 55.2 innings.
MULTIPLES: Malia Babasa has earned the most multi-hit games with 12, recording nine games with two hits, two games with three hits, and one game with four hits. Karli DalBianco follows with 11 games with nine two-hit games and two three-hit games. Babasa holds longest hitting steak with 14 games, with her longest on-base streak at 15. Katie Thornsberry held a 14-game on-base streak this season and is now back to seven games, looking to tie with Babasa. Karli DalBianco has the most multi-RBI games with four, including three games with two RBIs and one with five RBIs.
NATIONALLY RANKED: Stan State is in the top 60 in NCAA Division II in several categories. As a team, they are 51st in sacrifice bunts (31), 36th in double plays (16), and 31st in double plays per game (0.42). Sasha Martello is 17th in walks per seven innings at .97.
CCAA RANKINGS: The Warriors have claimed top five positions in several categories within the CCAA. As a team, Stan State is fifth in total sacrifice bunts (31) and strikeouts per seven innings (3.85) and third in strikeout-to-walk-ratio (1.91).

ALARCON: In their winning game, Victoria Alarcon tallied another complete game. Alarcon gave up five hits and one run off a home run. She also struck out five and did not give up any walks.
GHOST RUNNER: In game one of the second doubleheader, McKenna Beach went a very rare zero-for-zero despite having four plate appearances. This was due to being hit by a pitch in two at bats and walking in her other two.
HOMERS: Coming into this series, the Warriors had hit five home runs as a team. Over three of the games, they hit four home runs, with three by McKenna Beach and one from Sasha Martello, bringing the team's count to 9.
SENIOR DAY: On Saturday, April 19th, the Warriors will honor their seniors after the conclusion of their doubleheader. Nine seniors will be honored in Victoria Alarcon, Marissa Cerda, Karli DalBianco, Sydney Davis, Shelby Frutoz, Sasha Martello, and Allejandra Perea, Katie Thornsberry, and Sarah Warden.
SAN FRANCISCO STATE: The Gators (28-14, 15-11) are batting .298 and hold a 3.63 earned run average as a team. Five players are batting over .300 in Kai DeLeon (.403), Marley Gonzales (.372), Marissa Jordan (.323), Rylee McDaniel (.318), and Ashley Rocha (.301). Kai DeLeon leads in hits with 56 and runs scored with 27. Rylee McDaniel has the highest slugging percentage at .682 and has hit a team-leading seven home runs. Daniella Guerra has batted in the most runs with 32. Marley Gonzales is the stolen base leader with 25. Kharime Caratachea holds the best record at 14-4 and lowest earned run average at 3.09. Mari Takeda Bajan has struck out the most batters at 51. Nia Trinidad has recorded the Gators' only save.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Dating back to 1999, San Francisco State leads the all-time series 60-59. Last season, the two teams split the four-game series which took place in Turlock, Calif.

The Warriors were victorious today 12-8 and 6-5 to take the first three games of the four-game series. The visitors had 24 hits and scored 18 runs this afternoon. Leading the way were the trio of Ryan Leonesio, Flavio Perez, and Robert Valdivia who went a combined 14-for-24, driving in 11 runs, scoring eight runs, hitting three home runs and two doubles for the victors. Recording the victories on the mound were Cameron Rosen (2-2) and Rocco Gurrola (3-4).

- Annie Wild and Jackson Oliveira Record NCAA Division II Qualifying Times; Devin Hernandez Captures Hammer and Shot PutStan State's first two days in competition at three invitationals in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, the trio of Annie Wild, Jackson Oliveira, and Devin Hernandez led the way for the Warriors. Wild ran a time of 2:08.96 to improve her qualifying time in the 800-meter run at the Bryan Clay Invitational today. She is now 14th in the nation, second in the CCAA, and second on the Warriors' top ten list. Oliveira ran a 14:15.54 this morning in the 5,000-meter run at the Bryan Clay Invitational. The freshman runner is now 25th in the nation, second in the CCAA, and second on the Warriors' top ten list. Devin Hernandez captured the shot put at the Cal State L.A. Twilight yesterday with a throw of 53.7.75 (16.35m), which places him sixth on the Warrior top ten list. He also won the hammer at the Leopard Invite today with a throw of 180-1 (50.98m). Hernandez is third in the CCAA and sixth on the Warrior top ten list. He is third in the CCAA in the hammer.
- Baseball Pounds Out 21 hits and Score 16 Runs to Take Series Opener 16-8Stan State had six players with multiple-hit games to key its 16-8 series opener 16-8 victory at Cal State East Bay. The Warriors scored 15 of their 16 runs in the first five innings to key its win over the Pioneers. Flavio Perez had a five-hit game while Alex Solis drove in five runs including four on a grand slam home run. Danny Murphy also had five runs batted in for the victors. Quinn Oliver recorded the win in the start for the guests.
- No. 14 Azusa Pacifc Gets the Better of Stan StateStan State played in the quarterfinals of the PacWest Championship Tournament facing Azusa Pacific. The Warriors fell to the Cougars 4-0.
