BUSY WEEKEND AT WARRIOR FIELD
Stan State's baseball team will host Sonoma State in a four-game CCAA series this weekend, April 11-13.  The series will begin with a 6:00 p.m. game on Friday, which will be Student Affairs Night.  Prior to the game, Stan State's National Champion, Annie Wild, will be throwing out the first pitch. The Warriors will face the Seawolves in a 1:00 p.m. starting doubleheader on Saturday.  Two-time All-CCAA pitcher, Andrew Stueve'12, will throw out the first pitch. The series will conclude on Sunday with a noon starting game.  This will also be Turlock Latin Chamber of Commerce Day.  

TWO MORE QUALIFIERS FOR THE WARRIORS
Annie Wild qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships in May in the 1500-meter run.  Wild ran a time of 4:21.36 to finish fourth in the 1500 at the Stanford Invite this past Friday.  She is now sixth in the nation, second in Stan State's record books, and first in the CCAA. Trent Lauderdale improved his qualifying time in the 400 hurdles with his time of 51.16 at the Stanford Invite Friday afternoon to finish in second place.  He is now third in the nation, second in the CCAA, and fourth in Stan State's record books.  Saturday afternoon at the Brutus Hamilton, Lauderdale ran a fourth-place time of 47.53 to qualify for nationals in the 400.  He is second in the CCAA, fourth in Stan State record books, and 32nnd in the nation. 

WARRIORS HOST 50TH ANNUAL HANNY STANISLAUS INVITATIONAL, APRIL 14-15
Stan State returns to the course, April 14-15, when the Warriors host the 50th Annual Hanny Stanislaus Invitational.  The first 36 holes will be played at the Merced Golf & Country Club in Merced, Calif., April 14.  The final 18 holes will be hosted at the Turlock Golf & Country Club in Turlock, Calif., April 15.  Heading into this week, the Warriors are fifth in the most recent NCAA Division II West Regional rankings.  Stan State is one of seven teams from the CCAA ranked in the top 11 in the second poll of the season.  The next regional rankings will be released this Friday, April 11.  The selections for the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships will be Friday, April 25 on www.ncaa.com

WOMEN'S TENNIS SWEEPS JESSUP
The Warriors improved to 10-6 with a 7-0 victory at Jessup University this weekend in Rocklin, Calif.  Stan State took the doubles point as the number one team of Annabelle Mulick/Emma Yu won 7-6 and the number two team of Alyssa Tay/Maiah White were victorious 6-2.  The Warriors took all six singles points (Emma Yu 6-4, 6-2), Annabelle Mulick (6-0, 6-0), Parker Orlando (6-0, 6-1), Nicollet Alexander (6-1, 6-0), Jaedyn Hendryx (6-0, 6-3), and Abigail Zhurko (won by forfeit).  Heading into this week, Parker Orlando is 12-3 in her singles matches while the Annabelle and Abigail Mulick each are 8-6.  Prior to their match on Thursday at 4pm at Modesto's Del Oro Country Club, Stan State will recognize its three seniors in Nicollet Alexander, Annabelle Mulick, and Alyssa Tay

TRACK & FIELD EIGHT TOP SIX FINISHES IN THE BAY AREA
Stan State placed in the top six in eight events this weekend in its three invitationals in the Bay Area. Trent Lauderdale was second in the 400 hurdles (51.16, Stanford Invite) and fourth in the 400 (47.53, Brutus Hamilton Invite).  He was part of the men's 4x400 relay team with Levi Gardner, Jemar Armstrong, and Jaheim Williams that ran a second-place time of 3:15.73 at the Hamilton.  Devin Hernandez was second in the hammer (172-8, Stanford) and Cole Bailey was fifth in the javelin (166-2, Stanford).  Makenzie Kordic ran a sixth-place time of 36:22.91 at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic.  Rionna Wallace was fourth in the 200 at the Brutus Hamilton (24.91).  She was part of the 4x400 relay team that finished fourth at Brutus Hamilton with Mila Real, Bri Aguirre, and Shaylynn Wynn

WARRIORS TRAVEL TO SEASIDE FOR FOUR-GAME SERIES WITH CSUMB, APRIL 11-12
Stan State travels to Seaside, Calif., April 11-12 for a four-game series with Cal State Monterey Bay.  The series will begin with a 1:00 p.m. starting doubleheader this Friday, April 11.  The two teams will conclude the series with a noon starting doubleheader this Saturday, April 12.  Malia Babasa (.368) and Karli DalBianco (.327) leading the Warriors in batting average.  DalBianco has a team high .434 slugging percentage, 17 runs batted in, six doubles, two home runs, and 49 total bases. Babasa leads tan State with her 20 runs scored, 43 hits, one triple, and seven stolen bases.  Victoria Alarcon has a team low 2.99 earned run average to go with her team leading six victories and 62 strikeouts. 

BASEBALL HOSTS SONOMA STATE, APRIL 11-13
Stan State will host Sonoma State this Friday-Sunday, April 11-13 in a four-game series at Warrior Field. The series will begin with a single game under the lights at 6:00 p.m. this Friday.  It will continue with a 1:00 p.m. starting doubleheader this Saturday.  The series will conclude with a noon starting game a week from today, Sunday, April 13. Ryan Leonesio leads the Warriors with his .333 average while Flavio Perez has a team leading .461 slugging percentage.  Perez has a team high 38 hits, 59 total bases, and 12 doubles.  He is tied with Alex Solis, JD Madrigal, and Arthur Navarette Jr. each with three home runs.  Solis leads the Warriors with his 19 runs scored. Jacob Baker has stolen a team high eight stolen bases and Robert Valdivia leads Stan State with two triples.  Rocco Gurrola leads the Warriors with his 4.96 earned run average and 30 strikeouts.  Austin Balentine and Zach Geiss each have a
team high three victories.

THIS WEEK'S STAN STATE WARRIOR STUDENT-ATHLETES OF THE WEEK, PRESENTED BY KW RECOVERY LAB, ARE TRENT LAUDERDALE AND RIONNA WALLACE
This week's Stan State Warrior Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by KW Recovery Lab, are a pair of pair of Stan State track and field hurdlers in Trent Lauderdale and Rionna Wallace along with distance runner Annie Wild.

Trent LauderdaleLauderdale recorded two provisional times this weekend at the Stanford Invitational and Brutus Hamilton Invite.  He started the weekend improving his time in the 400-meter hurdles with a second place time of 51.16 at Stanford. Lauderdale is now third on Stan State's top ten list, second in the CCAA, and third in the nation.  The Fontana, Calif., finished the weekend with a fourth-place time of 47.53 to provisionally qualify him for the 400-meter dash.  Lauderdale is second in the CCAA, fourth in the Warriors' top ten list, and 32nd in the nation. Also in Berkeley, Lauderdale was part of the 4x400 relay team that finished second with a time of 3:15.72. That time places 3rd in the CCAA.
 

Rionna WallaceWallace started her weekend tying Stan State's school record with an 8th-place time of 24.49 in the 200-meter dash at Stanford. She came back the next day at the Brutus Hamilton running a fourth-place time of 24.41 to break the school record.  Wallace is now 5th in the CCAA in the 200-meter dash.  The senior sprinter also finished a 12.05 in the 100 at the Hamilton to finish 6th after running a 12.17 to finish 20th at Stanford on Friday.  Wallace was a part of the 4x400 relay team that finished 4th in Berkeley with a time of 4:02.31.  She is now 3rd in the CCAA in the 100 and the relay team is 7th.
 

Annie WildAnnie Wild qualified for the 1500 meter run for the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships with her tenth-place time of 4:21.36 at the Stanford Invite this Friday afternoon in Stanford, Calif.  She currently is sixth in the nation in the 1500.  Earlier this season, Wild provisionally qualified in the 800-meter run with her time of 2:10.37 which is 22nd in the nation.
