Stan State’s Duo of Chris Chomyn and Jack Peters Named to 2025 All-CCAA Men’s Golf Team
TURLOCK, Calif.--- As announced this afternoon by the office of the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), the Stan State Warrior duo of Chris Chomyn and Jack Peters were named to the 2025 All-CCAA Men's Golf Team. This is Chomyn's second consecutive year of earning this honor while it is Peters' first time.
Chomyn, who was named to the All-CCAA First Team, had a 71.8 average in his 27 rounds of golf this 2024-25 academic year. He recorded top three finishes including tying for medalist honors at the Battle in the Desert Invite, February 24-26, in Borrego Springs, Calif., at the par-72 Rams Hill Golf Club. The senior golfer had a nine-under par 207 to tie for first place with teammate, Jack Peters. He placed third at the Southwest/HPU Sharks Shootout, October 26, when he shot a six-under par 138 in the 54-hole tournament.
At this year's CCAA Championships, Chomyn shot a one-over par 217 to finish in a tie for fourth place at the par-72 Sandpiper Golf Club in Santa Barbara, Calif. By placing in the top five, Chomyn was named to the All-Tournament Team for the second consecutive year.
Peters, who was selected to the All-CCAA Honorable Mention Team, posted a 73.0 average this season in the thirty rounds of golf he played in during 2024-25. He shot a nine-under par 207 to finish in a tie for medalist honors with teammate Chris Chomyn at the Battle in the Desert, February 24-26. Peters won the play-off hole. With their scores, the Warrior duo led Stan State to a school record low of 36-under par 838 in the three-day tournament. Peters shot a five-under par 211 to finish in seventh place at the 50th Annual Hanny Stanislaus Invite April 14-15 in Turlock, Calif.
For their play at the Battle in the Desert, Chomyn and Peters were named the FloCollege/CCAA Co-Men's Golfers of the Week.
The Warrior duo along with their teammates Nate Jetton, Chase Bird, and Ricky Sullivan will be heading to Riverside, Calif., May 8-10, to participate in the 2025 NCAA Division II West/South Central Regionals at the par-72 Victor Golf Club.

There will be prelims ran in the 200-meters and 800-meters as well as the women's 100-hurdles and men's 110-hurdles.The final day will be Saturday which will commence at 11:00 a.m. There will be finals in all events finishing with the 4x400 relays at around 4:55 p.m. The awards presentations will begin around 5:30 p.m.
