Stan State Travels to Jessup University
TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State plays Jessup University this week on Saturday, April 5th, at 2:00 p.m. This will be the Warriors' second to last PacWest matchup in the regular season.
LAST WEEK: This past week, Stan State traveled to Atherton, Calif. to face Menlo College. The Warriors fell 4-2, though the Warriors picked up the doubles point. Parker Orlando had a good outing, winning the doubles 6-3 with partner Abbigail Mulick. Orlando also won her singles 6-1, 6-1 to give Stan State its second point.
STAN STATE WARRIORS: Stan State is 9-6 overall and 9-3 in conference, with two of their losses coming from Division I opponents. Emma Yu and Annabelle Mulick have an 8-7 doubles record, while Parker Orlando and Abbigail Mulick hold an 8-4 record. Orlando has increased her record to11-3 in singles, followed by Annabelle Mulick at 8-6 overall and Abbigail Mulick holds an 7-6 record.
JESSUP WARRIORS: Jessup is 2-11 overall and 1-11 in conference. The Warriors will visit Fresno Pacific University the day before hosting Stan State. Their strongest performance was a 7-0 win versus Chaminade, with their other win coming 4-3 over Hope International. Nia Macay and Briana Smith, who typically play on the two and one court, respectively, hold the best records at 2-8 each.
UP NEXT: The Warriors play two next week, beginning in Modesto, Calif. They face University of the Pacific on neutral ground for Senior Day on Thursday, April 10th at 4:00 p.m. The following day, Friday, April 11th, Stan State travels to play Academy of Art at 10:00 a.m. for the final game of its regular season.
