Annie Wild Highlights Final Day of Warriors Weekend in Los Angeles Breaking School Record in the 1500 Meter-Run
LOS ANGELES, Calif.---- Stan State's Annie Wild continued her stellar 2025 breaking current Warrior assistant track and field coach Courtney Heiner's eleven-year record in the 1500-meter run. Wild ran a time of 4:19.67 to break Heiner's record of 4:20.65 from 2014. The sophomore runner has the third fastest time in the nation in NCAA Division II and the fastest time in the CCAA.
NCAA DII QUALIFYING TIMES: Annie Wild recorded her second NCAA Division II qualifying time of the weekend this evening at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif. She ran a 4:19.67 in the 1500-meter run, which is the third fastest time in the NCAA Division II and fastest time in the CCAA. She finished in 38th place in the field today in the 1500. Thursday, Wild improved her time of in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:08.96 which is the 15th fastest time in the nation, fourth fastest in school history, and second fastest in the CCAA.
RECORD BOOKS: Two Warriors moved up in the record books in their respective events. Annie Wild broke current Warrior assistant coach Courtney Heiner's eleven-year record in the 1500-meter run. Wild ran a 4:19.67 break Heiner's record time of 4:20.64 from 2014. Crystal Hernandez moved into eighth place with a time of 4:32.01 this evening. Jaevin Sawyer moved into sixth place in the 200-meter dash with his time of 21.48.
MT. SAC RELAYS: Stan State participated in four events at the Mt. SAC Relays this afternoon in Walnut, Calif. Trent Lauderdale finished in fourth place with his time of 51.24 in the 400-hurdles. The men's 4x100 relay team of Eris Hutchins, Jaheim Williams, Jaevin Sawyer, and Trent Lauderdale ran a fifth-place time of 41.58. Mila Real was 22nd with her time of 1:02.18 in the 400 hurdles. Rionna Wallace ran a time of 1:02.18 in the 100-meter dash to finish in 22nd place. Finishing 22nd in the 200-meter dash was Jaevin Sawyer with a time of 21.48.
BRYAN CLAY: Besides Annie Wild and Crystal Hernandez competing at Bryan Clay today, Stan State had eight Warriors competing in their respective events. Reyna Dismukes was 20th with her jump of 18-1 ½ (5.52m) in the long jump. In the 1500-meter run, Adin Dibble finished in 24th in the 1500-meter Open C this morning with a time of 3:57.96. Jackson Oliveira ran a time of 3:54.01 in the 1500-meter Open B to finish in 86th place. Dillon Carolina ran a 30th place time of 15.39 and Timothy Miles had a 33rd place time in the 16.14 in the 110 hurdles. Shaylynn Wynn finished in 47th place with her time of 1:05.94 in the 400 hurdles. Tessa Vasquez ran a 4:38.64 in the 1500-meter to finish in 136th place in the field this evening.
UP NEXT: The Warriors will then be off until they host the 2025 CCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium, May 1-3, 2025.

Perez finished the game, two-for-three with three runs batted in and a double. Austin Balentine picked up his third straight victory in the start to improve to 5-3. Noah Chelberg recorded his second save by pitching two scoreless innings of relief while giving up just one hit and striking out two.
- Softball Battles with Nationally Ranked Gators on Senior DayStan State lost two close ball games this afternoon in its final two home games of the regular season on Senior Day in Turlock. The Warriors lost the opener 2-1 and the night cap 9-6 to the No. 23 ranked San Francisco State Gators. After the doubleheader, Stan State recognized its nine seniors in Victoria Alarcon, Marissa Cerda, Karli DalBianco, Sydney Davis, Shelby Frutoz, Sasha Martello, Allejandra Perea, Katie Thornsberry, and Sarah Warden in a ceremony on the diamond.
- Warriors Finish Eighth in PacWest ChampionshipStan State played in its final match of the PacWest Championship Tournament today, facing Colorado Mesa University. The Warriors fought but ultimately fell 4-3 in a nail biter.
- Stan State Secures Series with Doubleheader SweepWith the sweep of this afternoon's road conference doubleheader in Hayward, Calif., Stan State secured the series win against Cal State East Bay. The Warriors were victorious today 12-8 and 6-5 to take the first three games of the four-game series. The visitors had 24 hits and scored 18 runs this afternoon. Leading the way were the trio of Ryan Leonesio, Flavio Perez, and Robert Valdivia who went a combined 14-for-24, driving in 11 runs, scoring eight runs, hitting three home runs and two doubles for the victors. Recording the victories on the mound were Cameron Rosen (2-2) and Rocco Gurrola (3-4).
