Stanislaus State Women’s Basketball to Open 2025–26 Season at Santa Clara
TURLOCK, Calif. — The 2025–26 Stanislaus State women's basketball team, led by 14th-year head coach Wayman Strickland, will open its new campaign on the road with an exhibition matchup at Santa Clara on November 3. The Warriors' schedule features a competitive blend of non-conference contests and CCAA match-ups as they continue to build under their veteran leader.
Warriors Update
Stanislaus State returns several key contributors from last season's roster, including guard-forward Alyssa Premo, who averaged 6.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game, and guard Kalyn Harris, who added 5.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per contest. Sophomore guard Amya Vangkham-Griffin also returns after averaging 5.3 points per game.
Sophomore guard Quinn Garrett started all 28 games a year ago, averaging 4.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and totaling 52 assists. Coming back after a redshirt season is Aaliyah Dias, who will add frontcourt depth and athleticism. Redshirting this season will be Krista Andersen.
Newcomers
The Warriors' incoming class brings a mix of experience and local talent. Freshmen Nerissa Hamilton (Grant Union HS) and Cameron Gibson (Atwater HS) join the squad, along with junior guard Lexi Derf (San Francisco State) and forward Eryn Gardner (Sonoma State).
Junior Sara Davis (Modesto JC) and Western Oregon transfer Milasarai Tau add size and versatility, while local standouts Karissa Hukill (Atwater HS) and Kylie Kulina (Beyer HS) round out a group that will look to make an immediate impact.
2025–26 Schedule Overview
Stanislaus State begins its season with an exhibition at Santa Clara on November 3, followed by another preseason contest at Utah State on November 20. The Warriors then head to Rocklin for the Bill Holtz Classic, facing Bushnell
on November 21 and Jessup on November 22.
The non-conference slate continues November 26 with a road match-up at Fresno Pacific before the Warriors open CCAA play in December.
Conference action begins with road games at Cal Poly Humboldt (Dec. 4) and Chico State (Dec. 6). Stan State's CCAA home opener is set for December 19 against Cal State San Bernardino, followed by a December 21 contest versus Cal Poly Pomona inside Fitzpatrick Arena.
After the holiday break, the Warriors host Cal State Monterey Bay (Jan. 2) and Cal State San Marcos (Jan. 4) before heading south to face Cal State Los Angeles (Jan. 8) and Cal State Dominguez Hills (Jan. 10). Stan State returns home for four of its next six contests, including San Francisco State (Jan. 15), Cal State East Bay (Jan. 17), and a home-and-home series with UC Merced — January 22 in Merced and January 24 in Turlock.
February opens with home games against Chico State (Feb. 5) and Cal Poly Humboldt (Feb. 7). The Warriors then travel to Cal State San Bernardino (Feb. 12) and Cal Poly Pomona (Feb. 14) before finishing their home schedule with Cal State Dominguez Hills (Feb. 19) and Cal State Los Angeles (Feb. 21). The regular season concludes on the road at Cal State East Bay (Feb. 26) and San Francisco State (Feb. 28).
The CCAA Tournament is scheduled for March 5–7 in Pomona, followed by the NCAA Division II West Regionals on March 13–17 and the Elite Eight in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, March 24–28.
All home games will be played at Ed & Bertha Fitzpatrick Arena in Turlock. Live coverage will be provided on FloCollege for all home and CCAA contests.
