Warriors Win First Round of PacWest Tournament
SURPRISE, Ariz.--- The Warriors competed in the First Round of PacWest Tournament, facing Metropolitan State University – Denver, taking down the Roadrunners 4-1.
Abbigail Mulick and Parker Orlando finished their doubles on court three 6-1 as the first court to finish. With a loss on court two, Annabelle Mulick and Emma Yu clutched a win on court one 7-5 to take the doubles point.
Alyssa Tay was on court one, the first court to finish, falling 6-1, 6-1. Maiah White finished next on court four at 6-2, 6-2 to give the Warriors their second point. Abbigial Mulick won her match on court five 6-0, 6-4 to bring Stan State up to three points. Emma Yu won the Warriors' fourth point on court two 6-2, 6-4 to clinch the match.
UP NEXT: Stan State faces the one seed, Azusa Pacific, in the quarterfinals tomorrow, April 17th, at 9:00 a.m. With a loss, they head to the consolation bracket, and with a win, the Warriors advance to the semifinals. Both take place Friday, April 18th at 9:00 a.m.

- Stan State Secures Series with Doubleheader SweepWith the sweep of this afternoon's road conference doubleheader in Hayward, Calif., Stan State secured the series win against Cal State East Bay. The Warriors were victorious today 12-8 and 6-5 to take the first three games of the four-game series. The visitors had 24 hits and scored 18 runs this afternoon. Leading the way were the trio of Ryan Leonesio, Flavio Perez, and Robert Valdivia who went a combined 14-for-24, driving in 11 runs, scoring eight runs, hitting three home runs and two doubles for the victors. Recording the victories on the mound were Cameron Rosen (2-2) and Rocco Gurrola (3-4).

Wild ran a time of 2:08.96 to improve her qualifying time in the 800-meter run at the Bryan Clay Invitational today. She is now 14th in the nation, second in the CCAA, and second on the Warriors' top ten list. Oliveira ran a 14:15.54 this morning in the 5,000-meter run at the Bryan Clay Invitational. The freshman runner is now 25th in the nation, second in the CCAA, and second on the Warriors' top ten list. Devin Hernandez captured the shot put at the Cal State L.A. Twilight yesterday with a throw of 53.7.75 (16.35m), which places him sixth on the Warrior top ten list. He also won the hammer at the Leopard Invite today with a throw of 180-1 (50.98m). Hernandez is third in the CCAA and sixth on the Warrior top ten list. He is third in the CCAA in the hammer.
- Baseball Pounds Out 21 hits and Score 16 Runs to Take Series Opener 16-8Stan State had six players with multiple-hit games to key its 16-8 series opener 16-8 victory at Cal State East Bay. The Warriors scored 15 of their 16 runs in the first five innings to key its win over the Pioneers. Flavio Perez had a five-hit game while Alex Solis drove in five runs including four on a grand slam home run. Danny Murphy also had five runs batted in for the victors. Quinn Oliver recorded the win in the start for the guests.
- No. 14 Azusa Pacifc Gets the Better of Stan StateStan State played in the quarterfinals of the PacWest Championship Tournament facing Azusa Pacific. The Warriors fell to the Cougars 4-0.
