The Stanislaus State men's soccer team kicks off its 2025 season this week with back-to-back night games at Warrior Stadium. The Warriors open with a pair of non-conference West Region opponents, hosting Seattle Pacific on Thursday, Sept. 4 at approximately 7:30 p.m., followed by Western Washington on Saturday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m.

This Week in Warrior Sports September 1–7, 2025   Here We Go Again The 2025–26 academic year officially began on August 20 at Stanislaus State. With the fall semester underway, the Athletics season is set to kick off as three of the five Warrior fall programs begin regular season play this week. Both men's and women's soccer will host home matches at Warrior Stadium, while volleyball opens its season at the Sunbird Classic in Fresno, California, on the campus of Fresno Pacific University.   Stan State women's soccer team will host Saint Martin's this Thursday, September 4 at 5:00 p.m. and Simon Fraser this Sunday, September 7 at 12:30 p.m. The Warrior men's soccer team will entertain Seattle Pacific this Thursday, September 4 at 7:30 p.m. and Western Washington this Saturday, September 6 at 7:00 p.m. The defending CCAA Volleyball Tournament Champions, Stan State Warriors, will face three opponents in the Sunbird Classic on September 5–6. They will take on Fresno Pacific (11:30 a.m.) and Westmont (4:30 p.m.) on Friday, and Menlo (2:00 p.m.) on Saturday.

Stanislaus State volleyball has been picked to finish fifth in the 2025 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Coaches' Preseason Poll, as announced by the conference office this week. The Warriors are also receiving votes in the AVCA/TARAFLEX Division II Preseason Poll under fourth-year head coach Lauren Flowers for the first time in program history for preseason, and the second time for the AVCA poll during any season.

Stan State Men's and Women's Basketball will host their Tip-Off Dinner on Tuesday, November 5 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dust Bowl Brewing Company in Turlock, Calif.

Stanislaus State men's soccer has been picked to finish eighth in the 2025 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Coaches' Preseason Poll, as announced by the conference office this week. Led by third-year head coach John Powell, the Warriors are coming off their first winning season since 2015.

Stan State women's soccer is tied to finish third the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) according to the 2025 CCAA Preseason Women's Soccer Poll that was released by the conference office today.  The Warriors, under the direction of head coach Gabriel Bolton, received one first place vote and 110 total votes, tying with Cal State Los Angeles.

The Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) has announced the 2024-25 recipients of its prestigious Academic Achievement Awards, honoring student-athletes for their academic excellence at the NCAA Division II level. Among the honorees, 64 student-athletes from Stanislaus State earned recognition for their outstanding scholastic performance during the academic year.
