Trio of Warriors in Leonesio, Perez, and Valdivia Named to 2025 All-CCAA Baseball Team
TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State's Ryan Leonesio, Flavio Perez, and Robert Valdivia were named to the 2025 All-California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Baseball Team as voted on the conference's eleven head coaches. This is the third time that Valdivia has earned this honor while it is the first time that Leonesio and Perez has been named to the All-CCAA Team.
Perez is an All-CCAA Second Team honoree. The Warrior third baseman finished the season with a .321 average, .351 on-base percentage, and .482 slugging percentage. He had 62 hits of which 16 were doubles and five home runs. Perez drove in 33 runs and scored 27 runs. At the hot corner, he had a .957 fielding percentage with 33 putouts, 121 assists, and seven errors.
The Hanford, Calif., native finished his career in the top ten at Stan State in four categories: doubles (fourth, 41), runs batted in (fifth, 100), this (sixth (173), and home runs (seventh, 17). This season, he had 15 multiple-hit games and ten multiple-RBI games. During 2024, he had a season long 15-game hitting streak and 19-game reached base safely streak.
Leonesio was an All-CCAA Honorable Mention selection. The Denair, Calif., native hit .315 with a .404 on-base percentage and a .356 slugging percentage. Leonesio drove in 26 runs and scored 24 runs. Of his 47 hits, six were doubles. He was eight-for-eight in stolen base attempts in 2025. The Warrior second baseman had a .984 fielding percentage with 109 putouts, 130 assists, and just four errors this season. Leonesio is currently twelfth in the nation with his nine sacrifice hits.
He finished his career in the top ten in three categories at Stan State. Leonesio was fourth in sacrifice hits (22), tied for seventh with his teammate (Jacob Baker) with 37 stolen bases, and tied for ninth in hit by pitches (18). This season, Leonesio had 13 multiple-hit games and seven multiple-RIB games. He had a season long 18-game reached base safely streak to begin his senior season.
Valdivia was an All-CCAA Honorable Mention honoree. The three-time All-CCAA honoree hit .315 this season with a .391 on-base percentage and a .408 slugging percentage. Of his 58 hits, seven were doubles, two were triples, and two were home runs. He drove in 28 runs and scored 29 runs. This season, he had a .959 fielding percentage at shortstop with 56 putouts, 133 assists, and seven errors.
For his career, Valdivia finished in the top ten at Stan State in two categories. The Adelanto, Calif., native is tied for fourth with his 174 hits and fifth with his 21 sacrifice hits. Valdivia had 16 multiple-hit games and eight multiple-RBI games. During the season, he had a 12-game hitting streak and an 18-game reached base safely streak.

- Warriors Earn Nineteen All-CCAA Honors; Jaevin Sawyer CCAA Men’s Track & Field Freshman of the MeetStan State men's and women's track and field teams earned All-CCAA honors in 19 events this weekend at the CCAA Track & Field Championships that were hosted by the Warriors at Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium. Jaevin Sawyer was named the CCAA Men's Track and Field Freshman of the Meet as voted on by the coaches. Capturing their respective events were: Trent Lauderdale (400 hurdles), Alexis Nino (hammer), Jaevin Sawyer (200-meter), and Annie Wild (800-meter).
- Baseball Splits Series with Chico State to End 2025Stan State defeated the Chico State Wildcats this afternoon 9-8 in the series finale of the four-game series between the two teams in Chico, Calif. With the victory, the Warriors split the series with the hosts. The Warriors used a five-run seventh to key their 9-8 regular season finale victory.
- Dismukes, Hernandez, and Nino Earn All-CCAA Honors; Wallace Breaks Another School RecordStan State had three more All-CCAA performers in the second day of the 2025 CCAA Championships this afternoon at Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium. These three were Reyna Dismukes (triple jump), Devin Hernandez (shot put), and Alexis Nino (shot put). All three placed third in their respective events. For the second straight day, Rionna Wallace broke a Stan State record this time with her time of 24.03 in the 200-meter dash. Alfred Nunes moved into eighth place on Stan State's top ten list in the decathlon with 6024 points.
- Warriors Split Road Doubleheader with Chico StateStan State split its road doubleheader with the Chico State Wildcats this afternoon took the night cap 4-3 but lost the opener 7-5. Rocco Gurrola pitched a complete game victory to improve to 5-4 on the season. Jonluke Goldman went three-for-four with what proved to be the game-winning two-out two-run single. Jackson Brooks scored twice, and Ryan Leonesio drove in two runs in the opener for the guests.
- Warrior Basketball Tip-Off Dinner Set for Nov. 5 at Dust Bowl Brewing CompanyStan State Men's and Women's Basketball will host their Tip-Off Dinner on Tuesday, November 5 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dust Bowl Brewing Company in Turlock, Calif.
