Thirty-Nine Stan State Student-Athletes Inducted into Inaugural Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society
TURLOCK, Calif.--- During this evening's STANYS awards, thirty-nine Stan State Student-Athletes were inducted into the Inaugural Class of students into the California Phi Chapter of the Chi Alpha Sigma (XAΣ) National Athlete Honor Society.
"We celebrate not only the achievements of our scholar-athletes throughout their sport, but their unwavering commitment to excellence in the classroom," said Stan State Athletics Academic Advisor Shealyn Craven. "As the inaugural class of Chi Alpha Sigma at Stan State, they set a powerful example of what it means to lead with discipline, integrity, and purpose. They are the standard—where academic and athletic excellence unite."
To be inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, a student-athlete must attend a four-year accredited college or university who are members of an association or organization (i.e. NCAA) that promotes academic achievement and varsity level athletics competition while holding a commitment to the principles of integrity, sportsmanship, and overall development of their student-athletes. The honoree also must achieve at least junior academic standing by the fifth semester or seventh quarter, as determined by the certifying institution, and must have achieved a minimum cumulative grade-point average of a 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale).
The Warrior class of thirty-nine student-athletes, who has a collective average cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.76.

- Men’s Golf Finishes Season at NCAA DII West/South Regional ChampionshipsStan State finished its 2025 season at the 2025 NCAA Division II West/South Regional Championships this weekend at the par-72 Victoria Golf Club in Riverside, Calif. Jack Peters led the way for the Warriors with his three-under par 213 (73-70-70) to finish in a nine-way tie for 38th place. Finishing two strokes behind Peters was Nate Jetton with a one-under par 215 followed by Ricky Sullivan's 216, Chase Bird's 220, and Chris Chomyn's 221.
- After Two Rounds of the 2025 NCAA DII Super Regionals, Jack Peters leads the way for the WarriorsThe Stan State Warriors recorded 16 birdies en route to a three-under par second round score of 285. Heading into the final round tomorrow at the 2025 NCAA Division II West/South Central Regionals, Stan State has a two-round score of even-par 576 (291-285) to place them in 19th place. Leading the way for the Warriors is Jack Peters with his one-under par 143 (73-70) to place him in a nine-way tie for 54th place.
- Sullivan Leads the Way for Warriors After the First Round of the NCAA DII West/South Central RegionalsRicky Sullivan had four birdies and ten pars in the First Round of the 2025 NCAA Division II West/South Central Regionals to shoot an even-par 72. Sullivan is one of 14 golfers to shoot an even-par 72. As a team, the Warriors shot a three-over par 291 heading into the Second Round tomorrow morning at the par-72 Victoria Golf Club in Riverside, Calif.
- Trio of Warriors in Leonesio, Perez, and Valdivia Named to 2025 All-CCAA Baseball TeamStan State's Ryan Leonesio, Flavio Perez, and Robert Valdivia were named to the 2025 All-California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Baseball Team as voted on the conference's eleven head coaches. This is the third time that Valdivia has earned this honor while it is the first time that Leonesio and Perez has been named to the All-CCAA Team.
