Stan State’s National Champion Annie Wild to Throw Out the First Pitch at Warriors’ Baseball Game on Student Affairs Night, April 11
TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State women's track and field student-athlete Annie Wild will be throwing out the first pitch on Student Affairs Night, Friday, April 11, when the Warriors' baseball team host Sonoma State. The ceremonial first pitch will be at 5:55 p.m. at Warrior Field. Wild captured the mile at the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships, with her time of 4:40.62, in Indianapolis, Ind., on March 15. The Ripon, Calif., native is the Warriors' first ever Indoor Track & Field National Champion and 24th All-American in the program history.
Prior to the Indoor Nationals, Wild broke her own school record with a time of 4:39.92 at the 2024 Last Chance Indoor National Qualifier at Boston University in Boston, Mass.
Besides being named a 2025 USTFCCCA All-American, Wild earned All-West Region honors in the mile and as a part of the Distance Medley Relay Team.
Heading into the Warrior track and field teams off weekend, Wild has provisionally qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships in May in the 800-meter run and 1500-meter run. The Warrior sophomore is sixth in the nation in the 1500-meter run (4:21.36) and 22nd in the 800-meter run (2:10.37). Wild is first in the CCAA in the 1500 and second in the 800.
