Stan State is the Sixth Seed in the NCAA DII West Region Tournament, Facing Third Seed Chaminade

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.--- Stan State's volleyball continues their postseason run in the NCAA DII Volleyball West Regionals. The NCAA selection show revealed that the Warriors' first opponent is Chaminade (27-4), with the tournament hosted by Cal Poly Pomona in Pomona, Calif.
 
STAN STATE'S REGULAR SEASON IN REVIEW: Stan State finished the regular season with 19-7 overall record and 12-6 in the CCAA to capture the third seed in the CCAA. The Warriors swept their opponents in 11 out of their 19 wins and only went to five sets on four occasions, three of which Stan State emerged victorious. The team finished the season as the winningest team in program history, now adding the most postseason wins to their resume as well.
 
CCAA TOURNAMENT: The Warriors were the champions of the CCAA Championship Tournament after making it to the finals for the first time in program history, receiving an automatic bid into the NCAA West Regionals. The team made it to the semifinals once in their five previous appearances, in 2016, falling short to Chico State. Their last appearance was in 2022 under head coach Lauren Flowers as well, where they missed out on semifinals.
 
NCAA DII WEST REGIONAL: This is Stan State's first appearance in the NCAA DII Tournament, seeded sixth in the West Region by the NCAA. Full tournament information and the replay of the selection show can be found below.

"We really are playing our best volleyball at the right time and it's a thrill as a coach to see their hard work pay off. I am so happy that we are not done yet!"

You've made us all so proud, and I look forward to joining Stan State alumni and fans to cheer you on Dec. 5 in Pomona." 
 
UP NEXT: The Warriors head to Pomona, Calif. to play the third seed Chaminade on Thursday, December 5th. The time will be announced.
