TURLOCK, Calif.--- The Stanislaus State volleyball team takes a short break from conference play this week, traveling to UC Merced on Thursday, November 6, at 7 p.m. before returning home to host Cal State Monterey Bay on Saturday, November 8, at 5 p.m. for Senior Night in Fitzpatrick Arena. The Warriors will then conclude the regular season with two CCAA road matches next weekend — Friday, November 14, at Cal State LA (5 p.m.) and Saturday, November 15, at No. 25 Cal Poly Pomona (12 p.m.) — before returning home to host the 2025 CCAA Volleyball Tournament.
Weekend recap
The Warriors dropped both matches at home last weekend, falling 3–1 to Cal Poly Pomona and 3–0 to No. 19 Cal State San Bernardino. Against the Broncos, Stan State opened strong with a 25–23 first-set win before Pomona rallied to take the next three. Christallynn Tate led the Warriors with 11 kills and Isabella Saucedo added nine. Setter Shaelyn Pruiett posted 25 assists and 10 digs, while libero Leah Mendoza collected 15 digs. In Saturday's match against the Coyotes, the Warriors battled throughout but could not overcome CSUSB's offense, which hit .304 in the sweep. Emily Meyer finished with eight kills and Tate added seven, while Irene London and Malia Tanksley each recorded three blocks.

Now 10–11 overall and 8–6 in CCAA play, the Warriors remain firmly in postseason contention as they vie for their second consecutive CCAA Volleyball Tournament appearance and third in the last four years. Stan State currently sits fifth in the CCAA standings behind undefeated Cal Poly Pomona (14–0), Cal State San Bernardino (11–3), Cal State LA (11–3), and Cal State East Bay (10–4). The Warriors hold a narrow edge over sixth-place San Francisco State (7–7) with four conference matches remaining.

Double-doubles and CCAA statistical leaders
Several Warriors continue to rank among the conference's best in key statistical categories. Christallynn Tate sits eighth in the CCAA in hitting percentage at .258, leading Stan State with 179 kills. At the service line, Reagan Wilkerson is tied for seventh in the league in aces, while Lauren Gonzales is tied for sixth. In the back row, Leah Mendoza ranks second in the CCAA in total digs (318) and third in digs per set (4.08). Middle blocker Irene London is tied for fifth in total blocks (68) and ranks second in blocks per set (1.24), helping Stan State remain one of the top blocking teams in the league.
The Warriors have also shown balance across the lineup with several players posting double-doubles this season. Setter Shaelyn Pruiett leads the team with seven double-doubles this year and 13 for her career. Wilkerson and Saucedo each have three this season, with Saucedo now totaling six career double-doubles. Kryslin James, Emily Meyer, and Maggie Olson have each recorded one double-double this season.
Scouting UC Merced
UC Merced enters Thursday's non-conference match with a 5–18 overall record and a 4–10 mark in Cal Pac play. The Bobcats have dropped six straight, led by outside hitter Sera Riley (200 kills, 2.53 per set) and setter Kyra Miller (380 assists, 4.63 per set). UC Merced is hitting .158 as a team and averages 10.3 kills per set. Stan State defeated the Bobcats 3–1 on October 16 in Turlock and leads the all-time series 3–0.
Scouting Cal State Monterey Bay
Cal State Monterey Bay, 6–15 overall and 5–9 in CCAA play, comes off a 3–1 win over Cal State San Marcos after a five-set loss to Cal State LA. The Otters are led by Zoe Haan, who has 275 kills and a .244 hitting percentage, and setter Maya Cann, who averages 6.95 assists per set. Middle blocker Lilly Bandle leads the team defensively with 80 total blocks. Stanislaus State edged CSUMB 3–2 in Seaside earlier this season, with Saucedo and Tate combining for 35 kills. The Warriors lead the all-time series 7–6.
Senior Night celebration
Saturday's home match will serve as Senior Night, honoring six Warriors for their leadership and contributions to the program: Irene London, Kryslin James, Teagan Irish, Christallynn Tate, Shaelyn Pruiett, and Isabella Saucedo. The senior ceremony will take place prior to first serve.
